dreamover
Chris' writing just got so ordinary after In Reverie. Did he get writer's block or something?are you being sarcastic? enjoytheride

AWasteOfATime
probably will get a proper announcement in the coming weeks. If I were EVR, I'd do a huge pressing with tons of colors.

somethingvinyl
So you paid $10 For it....not $2 I bought 80 records for $160. That's $2 a piece. Do you even math, bro?
just a normal guy kevin
If you bought any other items for less than $2 that day, you can include them in your total and drive that average price even lower. Gum, parking meter fees, etc.
whose_thare
are you being sarcastic? No, his lyrics got super redundant and boring. He has flashes of interesting stuff, but for the most part it's all kind of simplistic.

His lyrics were creative and unique until In Reverie, now they just seem trite and generic. whose_thare
Shitty Rambo
Chris's lyrics have always stayed in the same realm as far as I can tell, they're either nonsensical and over imaginative, violent, or angsty. Under The Boards was very similar to SWYA in many regards, just look at the lyrics to Woe (which are good), those lyrics aren't a huge departure. All bands lose a bit of their luster, but Saves The Day has never really bombed (like Transit, hah!). AWasteOfATime

And I was in a neighborhood uptown that didn't have metered parking that day

AWasteOfATime
Yeah I think that Saves (for me) is actually one of the most consistently good bands. Sure, many of their albums sound completely different, but it would suck for them to write the same thing over and over and over. A band that's continually pushing themselves (by sometimes playing 50 song, 5 hour long sets) that always maintains a fairly high quality of music. You should take my word for it that I got 80 records for $2 a piece. But fine. This was in 2009, so I don't recall all the records, and they weren't all gems, but highlights include: Lifetime - Hello Bastards (Purple) Kid Dynamite - Kid Dynamite (Red) Kid Dynamite - Shorter Louder Faster (Green) These Arms Are Snakes -This Is Meant To Hurt Hey Mercedes - Everything Fireworks Owls - S/T (before repress) Pedro The Lion - Control Bright Eyes - There Is No Beginning To The Story Decendents - Everything Sucks Cursive - Domestica Cursive - Ugly Organ Piebald - We Are The Only Friends We Have Minus The Bear - Highly Refined Pirates Bright Eyes - Lifted or The Story... Gorilla Biscuits - Start Today (2nd Press) At The Drive-In - Vaya The Get Up Kids - Two EP's LP Pinback - Blue Screen Life Misfits - Legacy of Brutality (early press) Saves The Day - Through Being Cool I sold most of it and tripled my money. And I kept a bunch of stuff too. It was a good day.
