zdkaiser Posted September 25, 2015 Share Posted September 25, 2015 I know there are mixed feelings about newbury exclusives (e.g., repressing common, inprint titles and charging more due to color variant), but I got to say, from the 3 titles I picked up, they are high quality pressings. That John Lee Hooker ($15), John Coltrane Lush Life ($13) and Volcano Choir ($20 purchased secondhand) all look and sound phenomenal. I appreciate the polyvinyl sleeves as well. Undoubtedly their strongest effort. I own a black retail copy that I'm more than content with. Nice packaging. The blue just seems like such an odd choice.
