jonnywreck
Welp, looks like it's time to e-mail!
jonnywreck
Since I did not receive an e-mail, I finally cracked and started listening to this. Weird how the reactions I'm having are complete opposite to most of those voiced in this thread: Hearts/Wires, while being a good song, was kind of meh for me, while I am actually really enjoying Pittura Infamante and Xenon quite a bit! mcpherson123
I didn't think much of "Hearts/Wires" til I listened to it in my car aka not on computer headphones/speakers via stream. I didn't care much for "Doomed User" streaming either but then when I first listened to the CD in my car those tracks became real to me and they are definitely much better to me now than I initially thought. deer
I wonder if there will be an affordable variant of this that's not white. Judging by previous Deftones pressings it doesn't look like it'd happen but maybe I'll hold out. Only had good luck with white twice and those were both European electronic releases. Derek™
Rubicon for days. Anthony Fantanaramadingdong gave it a 4/10. Not linking the video – partially because I'm on mobile at the moment, and lazy, but primarily because no one should care. Just found it amusing since so many people hop on his bandwagon and hang on his word. Between him and Pitchfork, we've got a truly polarizing record for the spoon-fed masses. He's never been a Deftones fan, which is apparent, but I agree with his legit complaints regarding the mix.
Stress On The Sky
I've been trying to persevere with this for a week and I wouldn't give it over a 5.5/10.Saddens me to be anywhere near Cantaloupe Fandango's opinion but this is just a real "meh" of a record for me. vinyl addict
I have the black, but not sure why all the hate with white. Pale Emperor on white is one of the quietest LPs I own. I have loads of white, none with any sound quality issues.
anomynous
Listened to it a few more times. Back to it being "meh" and a colossal disappointment.

Then again I'm not an audiophile.

Mix complaints are the only knock i'd give this album, I can't stomach watching any of that guys reviews

That's ok because I give his reviews a 4/10. He's mastered the art of "saying a lot when I'm saying nothing at all."

dvv
That guy is so over the top in his reviewsthats why I like watching him cus he tries so hard to shit on a record he doesn't like that it's almost comedic, and it's also hilarious watching him try to glorify an album he loves lol

xbpr
I received my white copy from Amoeba today. Side A & B sound like sandpaper. There are dark specks in the white vinyl that look like physical surface imperfections. No issues with side C& D at all.
vinyl addict
Been through this LP 5 or 6 times now. Incredible effort from Deftones. The songs get better as the album goes on. B-dosia
Juturna90
Serigraph for gore available on 4/20. This one actually looks pretty good compared to the others. https://twitter.com/deftones/status/722455297105780741 B-dosia
