From this new song, i got zero red forest feel. other than more subtle ITTCT characteristics, i thought this sounded fresh and shiny brand new. Don't ever take Gumbo's word as the gospel haha. ITTCT was kicking the tires on everyone's interest for colored US variants, but nothing has progressed from that yet. I don't necessarily get Red Forest vibes from these two new tracks, more-so that it feels like a perfect subtle progression from it. It feels more "atmospheric" so far, which I really dig. This is definitely a 'heavier' ITTCT in my opinion, which is appropriate considering the label change. This is a new side of them and I'm digging it. I didn't really get that impression from the first track, but I'm really hoping the rest of the album has this feeling. I'm excited. $35 excited remains to be seen.
