Thrice55
$65 is my breaking point. Spent that much on TREOS-TESMFM and The Mars Volta - FTM, $65ppd for each.

codeine
Most is about $100, maybe a little over that. Those days are long over though, unless you consider box sets or something of that extensive nature.
xmarcusnapple
$250 for a test presses of The Things We Think We're Missing and the B&C/Braid split. I don't know if that counts since it's two records, but you get the point. My B&C collection is getting expensive.
museummouth
Here's a question for everyone... What's the most you'll ever spend on a record? I'm willing to drop the $400-700 for a copy of Break Down the Walls by Youth of Today on blue.

drds89
At this point, the most I've paid is $80 for Further Seems Forever - The Moon is Down and $95 for Sigur Ros - Takk. Coming in at third would be Copeland - In Motion for $60. You were last man in, Brian, on the Takk-- sorry to say it's prob not going to happen, see original thread
cephcarn4
I would drop 2K for a Background music test press & i'd pay probably around 1,500 for a mosh camp with the schism back
fish
Spent around $200 for a copy of Soundgarden's Hunted Down 7". Also recently spent $150 for Coil's "Wheel" single limited to 23 copies. But that sells for around $500 so I was excited to get it at that price. nothingnatural
fischmioli
Here's a question for everyone... What's the most you'll ever spend on a record? There's a copy of Darkthrone "Transilvanian Hunger" up on eBay. The guy wants $1200. I'd like to get it for $600, but ill pay up to $800 for it. amnorth
$70 on The Quiet Things 7" red. I forgot I was bidding in British pounds on eBay and 46.00 pounds comes out to be a lot more in American dollars. Other than that I haven't spent too much for just one record really

dreamover
$175 - Mew - Frengers (#/500) $130 - Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness (#/10,000) $80 - The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers (Copper Third Man Press, #/300) Thinking about buying the Apparatjik (side project of jonas from mew and guy from coldplay). only 130 copies and it's 100 euros available from someone connected to the band. pretty pricy, but the band assured there won't be a repress. my post from three years ago on page one. still holds true. glad i don't spend that much on records anymore. but i still want that apparatjik record.
