Came back to read all of these PayPal call-in stories and decided to do it myself.

I called in, got the agent and told him the story. He gave me the shit about not being able to do anything past 45 days, and I asked for a supervisor.

He went and apparently talked to the supervisor.

Then he came back and told me that his supervisor knew about what had been going on and that there was something to do with the FBI? And so now they're able to reverse the orders. The guy said refunding that money was one of the coolest things he'd done while working there, haha.

Anyway, it looks like RJ is fucked guys!

^ According to Wiki, it's an Ed.D, which isn't necessarily a research doctorate (Ph.D.), just depends on the school, so it's not really that challenging, academically.

He didn't write a dissertation and he did it through online courses. It's not an honorary degree but hardly an academic feat.

Thank you for slamming the Ed.D., which I am beginning in August.

When I am busting my ass I am going to tell my professors to back the fuck off because I heard on a message board this shit isn't supposed to be academically challenging.

Just outta interest, does anyone know what's happened with the SRC orders? Have they been refunded?

As soon as it didn't get released on April 10th and they'd had no contact froM RJ, they took it down and refunded everyone, or at least they said they did. Haven't heard anyone complain about not being refunded from SRC so I assume it happened.

I just got off the phone with paypal. I got the customer service guy, he said he couldn't do anything and then passed me to a resolution specialist, then I asked for the supervisor, told him my story and he was very nice and said that he would refund it. It was instantaneously put right back in my account. Extremely happy, paypal has been awesome in this whole situation.

Just called and he basically said all of you are lying about getting refunds outside the 45 day window. "Not sure where you're getting your info from, but its incorrect." -.-

Anyway, he said that since it was a transfer from my bank, I could only make a claim with my bank. Does it make a difference if its a direct transfer vs direct drawing from paypal funds? I don't see why it would, because even if it were directly from paypal funds, those would be from my bank anyway. Either way, money goes from bank to paypal to MTS.

So should I take it up with the bank, or just keep calling paypal over and over?

Can't hurt to call the bank, but I'd keep harassing Paypal

I called Paypal today and I was basically told the same thing. The majority of my purchase was through my credit card (I think like $6 was Paypal balance.) They told me that because it was outside the 45 day window, all I could do was call my credit card company and try to get money from them.

I called last night and the customer service rep said the same thing. As soon as I asked to talk to a supervisor I got a full refund though. Try that.

I just got a supervisor. She was nicer, and aware of the case, but she said "we are no longer giving refunds at this time." I said someone just got one last night, and she said she didn't know how, and to call my bank. I'll try russian roulette again tomorrow, I guess, and bitch to my bank in the mean time.

WTFFFFFF.

I just did mine at 930 this morning and was able to get a refund. I don't know if they are saying that because all of us are now calling and they are having to issue all these refunds or what. I got a really nice guy supervisor, I don't remember his name, but he was completely understanding and gave me the refund instantly. I would say keep trying it seems like you just have to get the right supervisor.
