TFP
Wow, I wonder if Mondo will incorporate some of DW practices? Like subscriber variants. I hope not.
museummouth
I just hope we get better packaging for Mondo stuff and hopefully they keep the DW imprint for horror stuff. Maybe subscriptions for genres?

Number11
Wow, I wonder if Mondo will incorporate some of DW practices? Like subscriber variants. I hope not.Subscription packages is the number 1 thing I hope will happen with this deal.Spencer being in charge of both labels is huge news. I'd be surprised if he doesn't transfer the great stuff about Death Waltz over to Mondo (subscriptions, packaging, mp3s)
BuzzersonKillwell
I'd be cool with a move to subscription models and no more random insert stuff. Someone should tell the fellas in the Death Waltz thread.

natenomm
I'd sign up for a subscription in a heartbeat.
TFP
I'd be cool with a move to subscription models and no more random insert stuff.I like this idea, I think the main reason I am against the idea of a subscription is if there are 2 Versions A+B plus random insert then, on top of that, a subscriber variant. It would drive me nuts. But if a subscription could be the "random" variant then cool.
stl_ben
They like money...it will be a 4th version. A, A random color, Subscription, and the occasional B version But yeah I was way off with my Rob Jones guess.
Number11
The way Death Waltz currently handles variants is perfect. It will be weird if they keep the Mondo format. Subscription Variant, Black Vinyl Variant, Standard Coloured Variant, Web Store Variant.

slinch
Anyone find the info on how/where/when the tests will be available? I have a mate picking one up for me, as I'm sure I'll either get Drive, Oblivion or JP. I know it.

It would drive me nuts. But if a subscription could be the "random" variant then cool. Genre based subscriptions would win all. I'll much rather pay in advance and get variants that if at the end of the day I don't want can sell for cost and still get the variants on the ones I do want. slinch
They will be made available at mondocon...... Well, yeah, but I was thinking in terms of is it from when they open or at a later time, which booth etc. The official announcement didn't mention anything, but folks here seem to know stuff even before the team at mondo does.
