Maybe I'll hit this guy up to sell 'em for me. He sure is persistent seeing as he first posted that in 2011.

jerseydave77
I've never seen one of these before so yeah, I'm pretty stoked to get a test for one of NYHC's seminal LPs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/261156984087?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 The stupid part is that I'm preparing to purge over 200 records so buying expensive tests is nuts. But who could pass up something that may never be seen again. jhook

mclz
Is it wrong to like the KD version of Birthday more?
jerseydave77
It is Marc. I'd think the Kid Dynamite version could be a bit more acceptable but the original is still a landmark in that era. I spent my max on this one but I never ever see Hawker era tests come up. kyacrash
kyacrash
Is it wrong to like the KD version of Birthday more? Yea, I think so. If you're a fan of the original band, I don't think you should ever like a cover song more than the original. You can like it, appreciate it for what it is, but it shouldn't surpass the original. Now, if you like the cover band but not the original artist, then I'd suppose it would be acceptable. now I'm going to rack my brain and see if I can find an example to disagree with myself on... jerseydave77
I like Toots but The Clash's "Pressure Drop" is better. It's a close one and a great example for debate but I love Toots. Someday I'll tell my story of hanging with him. He rolled a small joint to smoke with his friends to enjoy while they rolled their main project. Contact highs all around. mclz
I like Toots but The Clash's "Pressure Drop" is better. I think the Clash does a lot of songs better than the originals becuase they don't just cover the song, they completely make it their own. A lot of people don't even realize that some Clash songs are actually covers.
