spoon
I was fortunate enough to meet up with Josh (Deakin) of Animal Collective earlier in the year and we sat and spoke for about an hour over coffee. I broke my cool once we got back to the band's hotel and asked if he'd sign my People 7". He was more than happy to and when he noticed Noah (Panda Bear) standing out the front he asked "Do you want me to get Noah to sign it for you to?" Of course I said yes and he ended up introducing me to Noah and we spoke for awhile before they had to get to soundcheck. openupyourskull

Troy plays bass
The split with Empire! Empire! and Malegoat. I've got a major soft spot for great emo-ish stuff and these two bands are among the tops for me. The second song on the E!E! side of this split is so sad even by their standards. Great EP though. Couldnt find this anywhere and one day my girlfriend surprised me with it. It was awesome. I was able to grab the glow in the dark 7" of this for a good price off ebay. Kicking myself I got rid of it.
