GreatGreenOne77
nice choice, songs: ohia is my favorite molina I'm broken between Songs & Magnolia Electric Co. Just too much good stuff in both camps to pick one favorite between the two
thebilljim
I set a goal for myself as a writer at the beginning of this year that I wanted to get 100 rejections from literary journals. With two days left in the year, I've just gotten #99. This is a level of stress I can't even handle.

NapalmBrain
I feel like I've been on a musical drought never having had listened to this before. Holy shit - right up my alley! their drummer is incredible, I remember I discovered them through the album after this and within 2 songs I knew I had to buy it. I'm now up to 3 albums and 2 eps in my collection. Only band I can think of in the same camp as them is Tortoise chkadea
chkadea
Took the time to test out all those albums, and will definitely set aside more time tonight to really delve in. Thanks guys for sharing!

Eliminator Jr.
I spent the last couple hours listening to my newly arrived copies of Caspian 'YATC' and Baroness 'Purple' and cleaning a whole bunch of 80s Post-Punk records (Talking Heads, Joy Division, Cure, X) I haven't spun in forever and can't await to blast tomorrow. Bladew1ll1s1sdead
All of you listen to American Nightmare & Modern Life Is War right now. If you have heard them, listen to Head Wound City instead. Thanks.
GHOSTDRONES
Neurosis, recent chatter about them has made me realize it had been a little while. Every 3 to 6 months, I go on huge tears of Neurosis listening.

NapalmBrain
Talking Heads are amazing, grew up listening to them. I have a handful of their records, it's getting harder to find the first album now
Sad Heart
Yeah, Toe is absolutely fantastic. If you want to take it a step up and throw in some math elements, you should check out Te': https://zankyouk.bandcamp.com/album/therefore-the-illusion-of-density-breach-the-tottering-world-forget-tomorrow

Youinreverse
I'm on a Jason Molina kick so I'm listening to Didn't it Rain? by Songs: Ohia Jason Molina is awesome. I only got to see him twice, but both shows were incredible. One was a solo show at a record store, and the other was with Blitzen Trapper, Mirah, Norfolk and Western, and Wye Oak, which was an amazing lineup. I think I'm only missing the spectratone collabo album now

Bladewillisisdead
I've only ever heard Remain in Light and Stop Making Sense but I definitely dig. These are the two best. I will engage in fisticuffs over this. Side B of RiL is better than pretty much anything.
NapalmBrain
"Warning Sign" is my favorite TH song of all time. Stop Making Sense is basically the soundtrack to growing up though
Eliminator Jr.
My TH, JD, and Cure records definitely get spun more than anything else I own. I feel you man, their among my first purchases and I didn't put them away for months in light of constant rotation. But in the last three to four years, not so much. Except for Disintegration. That one gets played so often, I'm on copies four and five after wearing out the first three.

Given to the Rising is in my work playlist now, it'll be in pretty heavy rotation for the next months.
