I suppose I need to be extra specific.  Sometimes I do take the time to fully outline what I mean.... but not always.  This happened with my Spurv "Blader Som Faller", too.  But for that, they sent it outside of the paper inner sleeve, while still inside of the jacket.... and so it sliced the jacket on all 3 sides.   :::hangs head:::    That record is perfect though, thankfully.  You guys really ought to pick it up if you haven't.  

 

Maybe using the word "cover" instead of jacket is what I should do.  I always say some variation of "Please ship the records outside of the jacket, if you can!"

Listening to this Cataya material now....  the Kokomo influence is very strong in the first song.  I really like the color of the variant at the top of the photo next to the jacket, you think that's the "insistent green" or "unlimited blue"?  I can't tell, haha.  The clear with streaks sounds interesting too.  

 

Will probably pull the trigger on one of these at some point, it's only 11euros.  Very fair price for the amount of music.

So, have you guys listened to the new Tides From Nebula album at all?  Someone put it up on Youtube, and I was able to give the whole thing a listen.... and it's really fucking good!  They've changed a bit...  I don't know how to quite describe the shift, but it's got some more heavier and electronic elements that really work well.  The songs are terrific, and it held my attention the whole way through.  I'm looking forward to buying this when I start my new job, after I get a new turntable.  That, and "Aura" too.  The opening track on that album is fantastic.  Earthshine was always my favorite but these might give it a run for it's money.

I really like these 4 tracks - I hear CoL, YONL and Kokomo or Colaris, but not ITTCT, Godspeed or Explosions. $18 shipped from overseas is better than US LP prices, even if it comes with a massive seam split.

Listened 5 times to this - very stoked!! Like the reviewer said, it takes some great turns into postrock, postmetal (real chuggy metal) and prog - Appetizer,Entree and Dessert!

Moving Structures - I have universally liked Aaron Harris's production quality, and this was no exception. One time through, the only track that really grabbed me was "Becoming The Executioner"

RLYR - listened once, not bad, need to give it a few more go's I think.

Still need to check out Red Forest... after I listen to Cataya one more time

So, this dude I talk to all the time from Switzerland has a label, and it's called Elusive Sound.  They are just about to drop their first release, which is 2 variants of Glasir's "Unborn" EP.  They're going all out in the variants and packaging, and it looks to be an impressive release.  180g, 45RPM, 350g covers, screen printed extras.... the works.  The material is really great, too, if you haven't checked Glasir out before.

The guys who run the label are massive post-rock fans, I talk to them just about every day on Facebook.  Sold one of the dudes my black/clear ITTCT "Red Forest" a while back.  They've got more coming from Au Revoir, Show Me A Dinosaur, and more.  I keep bugging them to join the discussions over here, because they're massive music fans just like us.  

 

Anyway, I put my pre-order in for both Glasir variants today...  check the stuff out here, I think you guys will like it a lot.

Isn't it so good?  These guys are going all out, man.  And the goal is to get enough funding to eventually offer things like The End of The Ocean - "Pacific - Atlantic" on vinyl.  But shhhhhhh on that.

Please do, man!!!!  These guys are working their butts off, and have put a ton into this project.  

 

I'm talking to Philippe now, and basically what it works out to is that if we get over the 31euro 2kg package weight (which we are at with my order, plus Butcha and stillused) our shipping price will come down, because we have up to 5kg at the 45 euro price, which is the next tier.  He says that weight class will cover up to 10 records.  The pricing for the Deluxe /100 is 28.99Euro and the regular /133 is 22.99.  I know it's on the higher end, but these guys are not fucking around, though.  180g vinyl, 45rpm, 350gsm jacket (not gatefold), printed inners, records shipped in poly-lined inner sleeves to protect printed inners, records shipped in plastic outer sleeves, the screen-printed inner artwork and thank-you note, etc.
