Brian1969
Family member left me album collection..included was a John Lennon Shaved Fish album..he told me he had went and bought it on the day Lennon died and then would never open it..it is in original unopened packaging and has barcode and $6.95 price on it from KMart. Any idea what it is worth and where I might find someone to buy it for a good price? Thanks much, Brian psus2h and moonbeams

xadamhudsonx
You can pick one up on Discogs from between $6 and $15. Sealed copy probably won't affect the price much.
btelg
According to the most recent completed ebay sales, $15-20 is what you can get for a sealed copy of that record. Sounds like its worth more in "sentimental value"

Sounds like its worth more in "sentimental value" That's a buy it now price, which seems awfully low. Now to mention there's several variations. Here's what Goldmine's price guide says. If he bought it in late 1980, you obviously have one of the first three listed. If it's got a Capitol logo, you probably have a more valuable copy. List it on eBay, people will ask the questions they want to know about it. JimmyBOD
LOL! Goldmine Price Guide. That thing hasn't been a reliable source since the 1990's. Just tear that shit open and play it! It's a good record. nobodybrokeurheart, derby625 and castaway

Plarocks
Sealed records are a strange beast. I kid you not, I saw a sealed copy of Carpenters "Close To You" with the hype sticker sell for $100 on e-Bay. This is a $1 record, in mint condition at the record fair every month. So you really will not "know" what it is worth unless you put it up on the Bay and sell it, and even then it will vary from week to week. Or, just save it until you buy some rediculously expensive turntable to crack open and enjoy. That is what I am waiting to do with my sealed Carpenters. iron666monkey
I wouldn't take this record even if you gave it to me. Therefore, the value is zero. Emo Revival

psus2h
Is it really a flip when its given to him....? And who fucking cares if he wants to make a buck off of it. How is it any different than finding an old coin that a family member left and wanting to know how much it is worth?
