Vancouver was great but obviously in line instrumentally with the bands that were most heavily influencing the "post-hardcore" scene in the mid 00's. Somewhere was a compositional Goliath of originality and gripping flares of hooks. Wildlife began to take a much more steadily flowing approach that in my opinion maintained the intensity. Rooms has reached a smoother intent instrumentally that I feel thematically echoes and conveys the coupled lyrical intention very well. But with all that said I understand the fandom divide.
