kforkevin777
"Brainchild of frontman Max Bemis" - Kinda douchey... "Massively successful album Anarchy My Dear" - I think that's a bit of a stretch... I want to be excited, I really so. But I don't know if I can be. rynflnnry
i love this band so much, but i think calling anarchy a "massively successful" album is a BIT of an embellishment Green Tea Papi and CVHX
parkinglot
I've never listened to Anarchy My Dear. I don't want to ruin my love for them.
3arl
I'll give them a mulligan for Anarchy, and just assume this will be good.
noalarmplanet
I'll give them a mulligan for Anarchy, and just assume this will be good. I wish I could but I actually listened to Anarchy. diabretic
In my opinion. they haven't released a good album since Is a Real Boy. But that's just like, my opinion man. Tom Delonge's UFO and toxicity
TheArtThief
Their self titled is their best work I think
cwhitmuzik
I'm glad this album is about my people. Excited to listen. passionbrand and mmhmm
chamb117
saying anarchy was massively popular sounds ridiculous BUT it IS possible that people really enjoyed it outside the online community. i feel like most people were disappointed but every band attracts new fans with each release (usually) and perhaps say anything miraculously tacked on a bunch of new fans with anarchy. anarchy was bad enough that i'm not remotely excited about this, though. cwhitmuzik
I remember the day Anarchy leaked. I was heading off to Pittsburgh the next day on a four hour bus drive, and I had a dream it leaked. Nonetheless, it was there when I woke up. Weird shit, eh? Rushed to download it, put it on my iPod, listened twice during the bus ride. That was a sad bus ride. 3arl
The last song on Anarchy was really good I thought, but nothing can really make up for the "crap rains down" line on Admit It Again.
jetsfan4ever80
Not a fan of Say Anything, but I'm psyched that The Front Bottoms and So So Glos will be touring together.
Princess Logan
I'm definitely hesitant on this but I do love Say Anything.
serum7
It says "massively successful" because it's a press release. They're not going to put "following the mildly received..." I didn't think it was anything amazing, but Anarchy wasn't as bad as many make it out to be. I'd take it over In Defense any day.

rsersen
I wish I could but I actually listened to Anarchy. No forgiveness. His wife is the Yoko Ono of Say Anything. Truth. I'm a big Say Anything fan, but at this point I just want a pressing of Baseball, then they can break up for all I care. Hoping to be proven wrong with this album - but not optimistic. billya
They're playing a venue over twice the size of the one that they normally play in Philly.
Nashy
I know its shitty to blame Sherrie, but he really hasn't put out anything that great since IARB. The title of this album alone may be enough to keep me from buying it, but I guess I'll wait until the first single is released to decide. And no, he's confirmed that this will be another album without cursing, so I can only assume it will be more pop than punk like the previous few albums. Ugh. Jetboy
I think the Self-Titled is some of the best stuff they've done. I don't blame his wife at all. stl_ben
andy.
Their older stuff is so much better than any of the new albums. Baseball + Dormroom Demos will always be my favorite.
Nashy
I think the Self-Titled is some of the best stuff they've done. I don't blame his wife at all. I think about half of it was good, but even then a lot of it was repetitive and had boring song structure. Also plenty of the writing was meh; the bridge to property kind of ruins the song for me, and in general it's just to safe and poppy for my taste. museummouth
Im remember when I used to get excited for a new Say Anything album. Then their last toe happened....
andy.
Maybe Max's problem is that he writes so many songs between albums & the song shop that he's running out of ideas? EDIT: Has anyone listened to the other members of Say Anything's stuff? Like XO & They're Ghouls? I think the other band members have a cool style but Max over powers them and just writes the whole album by himself.
