(A Disscussion Somewhat Related To) Brand New - Deja Entendu RSD

Recommended Posts

Quick question: What album replaces Deja as the holy grail for vinyl once this becomes easy to get?

I always said that once I owned Frances The Mute and Deloused by The Mars Volta and Deja Entendu by Brand New, I wouldn't be so impulsive about records anymore. Now that this is happening, I feel no different.

Interesting.. I totally forgot about Frances the Mute... I snagged a copy fairly cheap when some individuals started dumping it on eBay ahead of what they though was going to be a reissue in light of the Deloused reissue. I would be curious if anyone else thinks otherwise...

Probably the actual current holy grail of vinyl:

Sex Pistols - God Save the Queen on A&M

I know it's worth a bit, but that much? I have the A&M version.

Edit: Nevermind (The Bollocks) this is the version I have http://www.discogs.com/Sex-Pistols-Never-Mind-The-Bollocks-Heres-The-Sex-Pistols/release/2760318

You may well have a repress or unofficial copy, but if one of the originals (from 1977, before they got booted off the label), then yes, very valuable:

Yeah, only 9 are known to be in existence, all the others were destroyed.

I got it from my uncle who used to work at the whiskey a go-go and was a sound guy for G n' R. It's Nevermind (The Bollocks) I have the 1st pressing of not God Save The Queen, so while my pressing is cool it's not the holy grail.

Also I think the Sex Pistols are way overrated. The Clash was the best of the original 77' punk bands. London Calling is a perfect record.

I like both, but also think both are super overrated.
