Plarocks
That is good to know. I thought there was a separate UK pressing on clear wax. But, if it is the same pressing as Sub Pop, that would be the cheaper way to go for me.

ntslash
Lately it seems that every Sub Pop pre-order gets the loser edition. I've even preordered the day before the release and gotten it.
JRHews
Lately it seems that every Sub Pop pre-order gets the loser edition. I've even preordered the day before the release and gotten it. I think I recall the latest Shabazz Palaces LP had a PO for the loser edition AND a standard edition so they weren't all colored. Could have been mistaken though. youspinmeround
Subpop is clearly pressing more quantities of loser edition. Not only through their store but I can walk into my 2 local stores and always only find loser editions Mourning Wood
bobpaul
the subpop website states clearly it will be struck out once it's unavailable. press buy with confidence.
TheGhostOfRandySavage
Has a track off this been released yet? I'm only buying it if it doesn't sound as recycled as Bloom did. I always loved Beach House, but that album bored me. Y'know. Not to be a negative nancy or anything. Tommy
just a normal guy kevin
I hope they get back to dreamy, slow pop music and leave the dreamy, slow, layered pop music behind. ntslash, esbe, Tommy and 1 other
ookowalsky
Besides from being on clear vinyl the bella union pressing (UK) will definitely not be the same as the sub pop pressing (US). It will have a bella union sleeve, bella union labels and a different matrix/runout, usually bella union reords are pressed at gzvinyl in the czech republic and not imported from the States. What is the general opinion of GZvinyl pressings? Are they generally better than the pressings that Sub Pop puts out in the USA these days? Are they pressed at United? With this info, I would like to score a Clear UK press, if I can find one that does not "break the bank."

sunkilmoonfan
I'd be surprised if the Bella Union clear pressing is limited to 200, since Recordstore.co.uk is now accepting preorders for it too: https://www.recordstore.co.uk/recordstore/recordstore/Depression-Cherry-Clear-Vinyl/4O240000000

ryantark
I've only heard some live versions from YouTube of 10:37. I'm no Beach House expert, but it sounds like typical BH. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CB0QtwIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DrFpPzpo4ZFE&ei=BgRvVfjyKI3noASA54G4Bg&usg=AFQjCNEvF-rSyDDHDLXKt4Ax_OyANGmHfw&sig2=Zl-mL0gOCKUBTX98Qo8nrQ&bvm=bv.94911696,d.cGU https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCkQtwIwAw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DwFyTqpJ5lh8&ei=BgRvVfjyKI3noASA54G4Bg&usg=AFQjCNGn5PwNAYYDEJaU7h_GORCQ7Lv77g&sig2=aECntC7jcE-JfcXBrgkDMQ&bvm=bv.94911696,d.cGU

I'm not a fan of the tinny sound of most DMM pressings.

GZ is one of the worst pressing plants along with Rainbo and United. Check out this topic: http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/gz-vinyl-quality-control-or-lack-of-see-pics.310015/ The best European pressing plants are Pallas in Germany, Record Industry in Netherlands and MPO in France. Green Tea Papi
I really l want to order this but I'll be in college by the time this comes and I don't have the room assignment atm, so do you think subpop would let me change the address when it comes time? ChardeeMacDennis
Yes they will allow an address change. Or you can deliver to the schools office or a professor you like. I did this one time when I had to order some books and didn't have my room assignment yet
YouTwo
SubPop must be getting a lot of questions about availability of the clear because this is what they have up there now All customers who pre-order the LP version of Depression Cherry will receive the album on Loser edition Clear vinyl, while supplies last (Available until we cross this wording out and say it’s not available anymore!). sunkilmoonfan
For those who are black vinyl enthusiasts, it appears the new Beach House is up on Amazon. http://amzn.to/1GH7kqB I'd imagine they are not going to be Loser editions - I don't believe that Amazon really ever gets those.
