charlesbranson
Myself and some friends have access to a used press and could use some advice on how to get it running. Was searching online and this site came up at the top and seems like a good place to start. Any links or contacts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. aarondltd and AlexH.
allenh
Where you are might help as I'm guessing you are going to need mechanical/Hydraulic help which would need to be pretty local
slinch
Sorry in advance for what might seem like an asshole response, but if you found a working press and have no idea how to use it it might be best to let someone with actual experience work it. The pressing business is clogged as it is and every machine makes a difference, so figuring out what exactly to do with one probably isn't the most efficient use for it. derkwithano
Sounds like the plot to a coming of age summer film. "This summer follow four friends on the journey of a lifetime as they search for parts and information to make a new pressing plant..." Also...pics or I'm not buying it. KingTacoMunster
"once the friends get the press up and running, they press their favorite nickleback record onto vinyl. Unbeknownst to them, the press is cursed, cursed by the demon of shit music, when played, the demon will take the listeners soul. They find this out, after they have shipped all 666 records out, so the friends must go on a road trip to retrieve all of them, before life as we know it, is no more" ksuwdboots

One Hundred Fifty-Two
I feel like you need more than one piece of equipment. Don't you need plates and labels and raw materials.

somethingvinyl
Yeah, this place is great for information on what's the latest splatter vinyl currently racking up sales on ebay. As far as actual knowledge, I'm afraid you're in the wrong place. matthewfrank, esbe, cemeterytapes and 4 others
AlexH.
http://www.lathetrolls.commay be more of use to you. They have a dedicated subforum for pressing equipment. I don't think a lot of people on here are involved in the manufacturing end. And good luck! esbe

mertzrock
Definitely not the right place...your only bet is to sell it to an existing plant...you're wasting your time and money otherwise.
