ronniegwilliams
Do you mean "Dead Souls"? Damn, yeah. Sorry, I was at work and getting my Crow Soundtrack titles all mixed up apparently. Thanks for the heads up.
ExtraFox
That cover of Hurt is the most overrated cover of all time. I also hate The Smiths. Dreary, whiny musicians, but when you put one of their songs in the hands of someone who rocks, not half bad at all: There was talk of Jawbreaker covers earlier on. Whilst the first tribute album was so bad I never listened to the second one, there are two good songs on it:
donlombardo
Alien Ant Farm's cover of Smooth Criminal is great. And I don't even like Michael Jackson. I just thought about this one the other day. I was 13 when it came, it was on TV all the time, I thought it was the coolest song, just getting into "harder" music. Listening back now, the original is much better.

Team Avatar
Best cover /thread This is SO true. All the Beatles covers from Across The Universe. Some are even better than the originals. Agreed. The covers from the movie really helped me appreciate The Beatles more in general. Reel Big Fish - Take On Me. It's so good. Cradle of Filth - Hallowed By Thy Name. I like it a lot more than the original. Cake - I Will Survive. enough said!!!!! so good! so good!

TFP
Man Who Sold The World is better as a Nirvana song. Fight me. Sad truth for me, I NEVER knew this was a cover until I played Metal Gear Solid 5 this year, and the Bowie original was like an overall theme to the game. I had just always heard the Nirvana cover on the radio and attributed it to them. I do prefer the Nirvana cover though.
