With that said, I'm pretty disappointed with Blood on the Sand and am truly hoping that it is by far the worst track on the album. It is a straight-up radio rock song. Worse yet, and despite their current relevance, the lyrics are overwhelmingly straight forward and lack depth. They seem like a dumbed-down version of Cold Cash. Aside from my disappointment in the new track, the 15 second instagram snippet of a different song was super promising, and I still trust that Thrice are incapable of making a bad record. Keeping my fingers crossed. Oh, and for once my awaking repeatedly throughout the night had served me well- I was able to grab a colored 180g.
