gutzonborglum
A lot of times pressings aren't ready in time to coordinate with a band's tour, so they will press extra tests in order for them to have something to sell on tour. Not saying that's the case here, but more times than not its why that occurs. zerohacker

I have a test press that is also technically the record release version of Rude Awakening - The Awakening that is out of 50.
EHughes527
Last MGMT had something similar. Consider that for pressings that are several thousand in qty require new stampers for every thousand. Tests should be done for every new set of stampers. I could see a large (10k+) pressing resulting in many sets of tests (usually 5+ TPs per stamper), easily resulting in 50 tests. Mylene does is with most of their stuff. Not complaining (I have a few), but might as well call them white labels and not tests. hzielaskowski
Hate to say, but this not real test press. It is a promo press. Unless the labels of this "Homogenic" is hand written.

For me, I bought it only because I didn't have this album on vinyl and it was a good price so not being a real test press is okay.
hzielaskowski
Don't worry. I'm going to buy this version as well soon. The real test presses for "Homogenic" have hand written info on the label. There are 4 or 5 copies like that. The rest with typed info on labels are promos. They are cool anyway IMO.
