radiatorhums
Yeah, they can fucking suck the hydration right out of you. It's awful, but they are my favorite beer style and I suffer their hangovers frequently! It takes a lot of beer to really wreck me (including IPAs), but throw in some whiskey and I'm headache city the entire next day.

I'm the lightest weight ever. I used to be worse, but I've gotten a little better. It all depends on food/rest/other factors. Generally though, I try to keep it at < or = 6 a night. 12-15 if it's an all day thing (those hangovers, though, ooof).

Mixing is never a good idea. I just said fuck it and get really high % IPAs. Haha.
deafening
Yeah, they can fucking suck the hydration right out of you. I did not know this. Spent my early twenties getting plastered off Dos Equis, High Life, and various liquors - no problem. Four IPA's and I'm in for two days of the shakes. It's a bummer because they're fucking tasty. mappingtheyears
IPA's are what taught me what a real hangover is. Im scared to drink more than two in one sitting now. I made the mistake of having a few IPA's the other night without eating anything prior... man, the next morning was rough. Pretty much worth it though, I love IPA's. The Butcha
curious question for everyone: what age did you move out of your parents house? or what age are you planning on it? I think I was 18 when I moved out. Surprisingly I never went back. Until I'm probably about to go back in a few months. And I'm 26 haha. Glad it's always been a fall back option though. mappingtheyears
curious question for everyone: what age did you move out of your parents house? or what age are you planning on it? Moved out at 18 for school, moved back after I graduated at 23. I'm in the process of looking for a place, so I'm hoping to be out again by next spring or so. llamaface
Out at 18. Technically lived with my mom for a couple months last year, but that was a transition between South Carolina and finding a job and a new place in California.
hippielauryn
Been really into Gose style beers this summer, but definitely a wheat/IPA type beer drinker. All the liquors are good too. We have the best Vodkas made right here in Austin and San Antonio. curious question for everyone:what age did you move out of your parents house? or what age are you planning on it? 17 for College ( I was a youngin), then moved back after College until I got a good job and could afford a place. hippielauryn
It's been a really long time since I've had a hangover. You get older and you learn how NOT to get hangovers, but I do drink on an almost daily basis. Especially during the summer. Fuck this 100+ degree weather we're having. Summer is my least favorite season.
Bladewillisisdead
Vodka is the best liquid on the planet. I can drink like 2 beers and have a headache the entire next day. I can also drink like 10 and be fine. Beer is weird with me for some reason.
