It sounds like if Nothing were stronger songwriters. I like the grungier sound which has a purpose in the sound of this record. The distortion and low tones actually make me empathize with Cole's destructive nature and addiction. As soon as Horsehead started I was like...shit!

Damn. I was wondering how long it’d take for Target to sell out of the PO. Didn’t think it’d be this quick, but not surprised given how hardcore the more overzealous Swifties tend to be. Even if they don’t have turntables to listen to records, they still buy all the vinylz.

I think this may be their shoegaziest effort to date, but it’s gonna’ take a few more listens to see if it can dethrone Tennis System for my favorite album of that genre, this year. Definitely not disappointed after one spin.

The guitars are outstanding. Same feeling I got from Whirr's "Sway" when I first listened to it (which became my favorite album from that year and still some of my favorites). Clear influence / revision of pure shoegazing.

Listening to this... its pretty good, its no Departure Songs, but its alright. But 'Dust' is definitely a cover of 'East Hastings' by Godspeed You Black Emperor, right?

I'm actually surprised by how good the acoustic version of Anna is. Really wish they'd do an acoustic album. Theres a special place in hell for whoever decided to make a rectangle flexi disc though.

Just opened this and I think this is the coolest variant of any record I own. The changing colors thing is more of an iridescence or oil slick (not black smoke). Either way, I've never seen anything like it.
