SNEAKORDS
They played a few new tracks when i saw them during Punk Rock Bowling. They sounded really rad. Yes different, but they were very good live. That being said, I'm still really stoked for this album. Set list from their show at the observatory the next day, it was pretty much the same thing: Elektra The Shape of Punk to Come The Refused Party Program Rather Be Dead Summerholidays vs. Punkroutine Françafrique The Deadly Rhythm Dawkins Christ Coup d'état Hook, Line and Sinker Refused Are Fucking Dead Liberation Frequency Tannhäuser / Derivè Encore: New Noise Worms of the Senses / Faculties of the Skull If the set is like that Saturday, I'll be happy, I can live through three new songs. did they hire an extra guitarist for the tour, or are they doing all the old stuff with just one guitar? JoeyCoon
I thought they were awesome live back in 2012, or whenever they first toured again, and I'm still really excited to see them this summer. Here's to hoping they don't linger too long on new material.
GradedOnACurve
I didn't realize we were getting a new (International) Noise Conspiracy album. That's cool.

Chuck Shivers
Do the same rules of The Gong Show apply to that song and video? Where's Chuck Barris? I just gonged that shit.
mattisr1984
Man, the people who didn't like Elektra are gonna lose it over Françafrique. It's on Spotify now. I love them doing literally whatever the hell they feel like, that's how we ended up with SOPTC in the first place. I think it's fairly safe to say that lightning is not going to strike twice. mrewest
So am I weird for liking that new one? Sure it's not groundbreaking stuff, but I like the groove it's got. I dunno, maybe being more of a casual fan of Refused has allowed me to be a bit more open-minded. I get why people wouldn't like it, but I personally dig it. planetrakis
Not to sure what to think of it, which means i'll like it after a few more listens probably.

radiatorhums
New song was not my thing at all, they're making it very hard for me to remain optimistic about the new album.

1876records
I tried to stay positive after reading all these comments, but now I'm on board for thinking this song is Shitsville.
fitterhappier
After listening to it a couple more times, I like the new song more than Elektra. I wouldn't call these songs "hardcore", but the new song is pretty catchy. I will admit that the lyrics on the new song is really cheesy though
mindovermatter
I recall the first time that I heard Liberation Frequency wayyyy back in 1997/98 and - being the little shithead punk rocker that I was - I laughed for DAYS at how awful it was. In fact, that song kept me from the rest of the album for several years. Then, when I heard it in context with the rest of the album, I finally got it. Here's hoping that the new song proves to have a similar effect on me. I am still staying positive, though I don't expect another TSOPTC. I just want some good rock songs from one of my favorite bands.
Vince Ives
That's a good point I think, a good few tracks off SOPTC sound pretty odd out of context.
troymess
I was just explaining this same concept to a co-worker. My memory of first listening to SOPTC was "why are there electronic beats/techno/etc.". I wasn't a progressive rock fan at this point and didn't listen to much cross-genre music. I ignored SOPTC for a few days and then started wondering if I was missing something. I gave it my first serious listen through after those few days and was hooked. Granted, the new song is a pop rock "anthem" but in context it could make a lot more sense. Time will tell... davey

Chhristopher
If anyone is reconsidering their preorder, I'm happy to take it off your hands. I had put it off and I'm still interested in grabbing a copy of this.
Moglog
New song. This is probably the most classic Refused sounding one yet: http://pitchfork.com/news/59913-refused-share-dawkins-christ/
Eliminator Jr.
I listened to Elektra once and am saving the rest. Really curious what the fuzz around the other song was all about. I don't expect a lot, but I'm excited for the record to show up.
throwgncpr
how about that, the song doesn't suck...
radiatorhums
I thought the song was better than the previous two for sure. I didn't find it fantastic or anything, might work better with some context around it. If it was a full on turd, I would have tried to cancel my preorder.
