I grew up a bit in the punk/HC scene but never really got into it to the point that I'd know about this. But I think similar situations can be said for a lot of other genres/microgenres, where there are 'holy grails' that most people wouldn't have a clue about. One of them I read about recently is Bent Wind's Sussex (they were a psych-folk/proto-punk band from Toronto from the late 60s who self-released one album before disappearing). The last copy sold went for $3000 about 8-10 years ago, and I imagine one would fetch double if it were listed right now. Fun fact: IIRC: Seb from Just Another Day Records sold one of his three copies of Chung King to fund the pressing of the Out to Sea 7". This was back in 2009 I suppose.
