I'm Kevin, I live in Florida, and by the time these get here, I'll be 21. I've had a lot of fun with this whole Secret Santa thing in the past, and I hope this year will be just as great.

My music taste is pretty varied. My favorite bands are Circa Survive (and most related things), Manchesrer Orchestra, The Dear Hunter, Murder by Death, Dance Gavin Dance, Coheed & Cambria, Emery, Taking Back Sunday, Lower Definition, Envy on the Coast, and I like a lot of mid-2000s post-hardcore/screaming stuff even if I know it's not the best, it's just nostalgic to me. I like a lot of progressive stuff, especially in the vein of Dance Gavin Dance-ish stuff. Johnny Cash, Elvis, and Sinatra are mostly the only 'classic' records I have and listen to. My list is terribly out of date, but hey.

As far as movies and TV, I like different things. My favorite TV shows are Doctor Who, Sons of Anarchy, Walking Dead, Hell on Wheels, Justified, Sherlock, Breaking Bad, and other such things. Favorite movies would be Fight Club, Se7en, Boondock Saints, Suckerpunch, Donnie Darko, anything Hitchcock, and anything Tarentino(sp?). I like mind-fucking movies.

I also collect art by Esao Andrews and Colin Frangicetto, as well as prints and random little collectibles and stuff from the aforementioned favorite bands.

I also buy a lot of cheap games on Steam.

I like a lot of music, I listen to a lot of college radio-esque music, some of my favorite genes of music are, Indie, Dream-pop and, Post-Hardcore. But that's barely scratching the surface, I really enjoy well made instrumental hip-hop, (Clams Casino, XXYYXX, MMOTHS, etc.) I'm really into indie music like I said, some of my favorite indie artist are, Last Dinosaurs, Vampire Weekend, Alpine, The Drums, and Bombay Bicycle Club. I also like that new emo thing going on (Pedro The Lion, Dowsing, Kind Of Like Spitting), and I also like folk, and folk punk

 

Some of my all time favorite artist include but are sure not limited to: Now, Now, Mansions, Lucy Rose, The Radio Dept., Death Grips, Local Natives, Seahaven, Beach House, Keaton Henson, Grimes, Brand New, Purity Ring, Flatsound, Joyce Manor, Waxahatchee and of course Joy Division.

 

I feel like no matter how many artist I list I can't give you a good enough feel for my music taste but some labels I like are, Birdtapes, Nosleeprecords, Topshelf, Subpop, and Runforcover. Some artist I've been digging as of late are Lorde, CHVRHCES, and The Civil Wars

Non music things I like are, Indie films, Star Wars, Studio Ghibli, Pokemon, Xbox 360, Books (The Bell Jar, That's Not A Feeling, and A Million Little Pieces). I really like tea, and wacky things from Think Geek and Thisiswhyimbroke, I also like band tees, (not really a graphic tee person but I love band tees), and I really love Circus Animals as in the cookies.

 

I'm sorry if I come across as picky I promise you I'm not, It's the thought that counts I'll take your rock or some of your old vinyl, just as long as you put your heart into your gift

I'm Manish, 33, and living in Oakland (The nicer part LOL). I work in the tech field and I DJ and volunteer at KALX Berkeley.

 

My musical tastes range. Though, I tend to stay on the heavier side of things I do have a soft spot for good acoustic singer/songwriter types. As far as things I'd be interested in. Maybe a copy of your favorite book of the year. I haven't had a chance to read much and am interested in seeing what got released that was moving, fun, thought provoking, etc. Also a mix of your fav songs of the year or an album of your favorite local artist or if you are in a band, your band's latest release. (Hell I am a radio DJ, If you're lucky, I may play it on the air) Other than that really whatever you want to throw in there will be appreciated.

My tradelist is a good year out of date, so its cool if i end with doubles of something (unless I update it ) so that should provide a good idea as to what I listen to. I like sports a lot (Mets, Jets fan), I don't watch a lot of movies unless they're documentaries or random foreign films, enjoy an interesting political book or two (ala Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky). Hi! I'm Spencer, 19, and I live in Southern California. My interests are pretty varied, I love music movies, books, history and so much more. Take a look at my tradelist to get a feel for what I'm into, but it's pretty across the board: hardcore, pop punk, emo, folk punk, grungey shit, acoustic singer songwriter stuff, 90's alt, ska, 90's hip-hop. So pretty much any music is cool with me. Been super into emo stuff recently, both 90s and current bands.

 

I love movies, my favorite is Office Space (Mike Judge is a genius). I also love flicks like Shaun of the Dead, Donnie Darko, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Wayne's World, The Princess Bride, and cheesy sci-fi. Books are great, send me any book you think is cool and I'll be thrilled. The best books ever written are The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Books and as a result Douglas Adams is the best author. I'm also a fan of Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaiman, and Ray Bradbury.

 

Besides music, my two main loves are Latin American History and cats (this culminates in my avatar / picture: my cat, Emiliano Zapata). I would love any cat or Latin American related things.

I'm Marc. 26 years old and I've lived in northeast Florida for the past 5 years. Moved down from New York after college in '08. I got a sweet (but very time consuming) job in radio. I like pop-punk (Drive Thru fanboy), 90's alternative, etc. Favorite bands are: Descendents, Weezer, Blink-182, Frank Turner. Favorite movies include This Is Spinal Tap, Clerks, Back To The Future, Pulp Fiction, & Star Wars. TV: The Simpsons, Community, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother, Parks & Rec, and South Park.

 

Other interests include guitar, listening to podcasts (SModcast Network, Nerdist, etc.), comics, and I've got a small (but growing) collection of Funko Pop Vinyl figures. I have the Avengers, Batman, Boba Fett, and few others. Could always use more of those!

I'm really stoked about this opportunity.  My name is Jack, I'm 35 and I live near Omaha, NE. I am a meteorologist in the Air Force.

Alright its about time I finally post my about me:

 

My name is Kellen, I am from the Cleveland, Ohio area. My tradelist is pretty accurate I believe. I will double check to make sure in the coming days. My all time favorite band is Motion City Soundtrack. I currently have one tattoo because of them and will eventually be getting the dinosaur from My Dinosaur Life on me somwhere. My name's Jared. I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah, and I'm 21 years old. I'm into all sorts of music. Some bands I'm really into right now are Built To Spill, Dinosaur Jr, Sebadoh, Mogwai, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Ty Segall, Frightened Rabbit, Guided By Voices, No Age, The Smiths, Low, The Tallest Man On Earth, Led Zeppelin, Television, Washed Out, The Bothers, And So I Watch You From Afar, and The Go. I'm pretty open to most music genres and I love finding new music. My taste changes all the time, but 90's "indie rock" is probably what I find myself listening to most.

 

Being from Utah, where the license plates claim we have the greatest snow on earth, I love snowboarding. During the winter I'm usually on the mountain at least once a week.

 

I really love cars; Vintage British and European cars especially. I'm not too into American cars. My brother's got a '71 Mini that we're in the process of rebuilding. I'm also just getting into motorcycles. I just bought and restored my first one. It's a '73 Honda CL 100 that I picked up a few months ago. I've had a ton of fun fixing it up and riding it. I look forward to feeding the addiction and I'm already itching to get something bigger. 

 

Like most other music lovers, I go to a ton of concerts. I've been to somewhere around 200. I've lost count. I usually go to about 1-2 a week.
