ganaar7575
Is Silver Platter website accurate as to in-stocks? Just checked out there site and it seems they have everything I want except for 2 items. Prices seem reasonable there as well. When does the line start forming at both places? serotonein
Prices look comparable to SB, a few $ higher on some and lower on others. I've known people to get in line at SB as early as 10p the night before, but they were there alone for a long stretch, and it doesn't start really filling up until ~7 or 8a on Saturday morning. Han Solo
Horizons by Parkway Drive is going to look like this. Blue with splatter is the AUS variant, yellow with splatter is the UK variant. Select Australian stores will carry both. Both variants can be purchased here (price is a little steep but thats typical of JB Hi-Fi): https://www.jbhifi.com.au/Search/results/?keywords=Parkway%20drive%20horizons Nateisgame and atticdemos
vinny0190
LA resident here, the past 2 years I've gone to places near me in the valley, this year I'll be with my girlfriend who lives in West Hollywood. I'd consider going to Amoeba but I can't get there until 3, any other good Hollywood record shops to try that might not be as busy?
BrainGilliams
Anyone have any suggestions for the best store in Portland OR? I'm relatively new to the city and haven't attended a store here on RSD yet. I've been to some of the bigger stores like Everyday and Music Millennium. Are those going to be the best bet for a good selection and quantity of RSD releases?

BrainGilliams
I always go to 2nd Ave Records. Cool. I haven't been there yet but I've passed by their storefront. I'll probably just make a random decision.

It's my favorite record store in Portland hands down. You should also check out Landfill Rescue Unit and Crossroads.

Lugubrious
For anyone who has been to the Soundgarden in Baltimore during RSD, is there generally a time to go when there is not a long line?

surfingelectrode
MC5 / Melvins - Rocket Reducer No. 62 would be a really fun 7" and makes sense if one side is Elektra and the other is Atlantic.
kramer73
MC5 / Melvins - Rocket Reducer No. 5 would be a really fun 7" and makes sense if one side is Elektra and the other is Atlantic. I personally haven't heard those songs, but I've heard that they rip pretty good.

Alright, I think I'll head over to 2nd Ave Records. Thanks for the suggestion! Do they have a place where they list the inventory they have available for the RSD titles? I found a Facebook page but it didn't have much detail.

jonochuu
So, this is prolly gonna be the first time for me lining up super early (I absolutely need that Pinback repress!) - do most people really go there the night before, or will I still have a chance if I show up at 5 am? I was thinking of going to Streetlight in San Jose, since they told me they've got 5 copies of the record I want, but the record store closest to me doesn't know what they have (rasputin in concord - edit, actually pleasant hill but w.e). Any bay area natives have any experience in these stores and might know if rasputin will get the one I want and if streetlight in SJ will be super busy?? Curious if that's hinting at a reissue of Houdini, since Rocket Reducer was only released on the LP release of that album.

kevbayer
Houdini will be rereleased, along with the other Atlantic albums, by Third man. This year.

I would say call and ask them what time people lined up last year... and ask their buying limit policy. I don't know if its a requirement, by my places only allow 1 title per person... might be good to know, so the guy in front of you doesn't grab all 5. Also, if you don't get it... don't worry. It'll show up online. Even Deja Entandu did last year!

clumsymonkey
Not sure if this is the place I should ask, but would anyone be willing to pick me up the Weepies and Circa RSD vinyl? The only place near me won't be carrying them and I'm super bummed
