rabbitvinyl
I just bought the boxset before Christmas. Figured it was a healthy decision for my first holidays alone in seven years. Somehow turned out to be a great decision, and I was even more happy to hear this news yesterday! Can't wait to hear what they come up with. niblips and corey.

I've been wanting to pull the trigger on that for way too long (since it came out) but I literally own every single album and have been too lazy to purchase and sell off the others haha. Maybe this new album will motivate me to sooner than later.

They sound great. corey.

Would recommend to anyone who's a fan of the band. 11 hours ago, corey. said: I've been wanting to pull the trigger on that for way too long (since it came out) but I literally own every single album and have been too lazy to purchase and sell off the others haha. So it was either I paid ~$40-50 per album, or just plunk down $175 on the set. corey.

Some German store was selling the box set last week for like $45 shipped to the US so I bought one...hoping that turns out to be legit. niblips
Shitty Rambo
A few years back, as a Valentine's Day gift, my wife bought me that subscription Saddle Creek was doing where every month they'd mail you a 180g repress of a different album from the Bright Eyes discography. This was prior to the boxset. Those are amazing pressings, super high quality records and sleeves.

anchorclose
I bought the box set awhile back on Amazon (after watching the price fluctuate week to week for quite awhile). They were running a promo for their credit card that offered a $70 gift card once you were approved. I applied the $70 to the box set. Ended up getting it for around $45-$50. KingTacoMunster
I will travel for this tour. SC gets overlooked a lot and it pisses me off, but ive seen bright eyes/conor live since around 05 and he never fails to put on a good show. The Wide Awake/Digital Ash tour was amazing. I saw them in 2005 as well in Bloomington, IN. It was post the i'm wide awake tour I think, because it was a wide mix of songs dating back to letting off the happiness and a couple new songs that would later be on Cassadaga. It was actually one of the best concerts I've been to. They had like 13 people on stage, harp and all. Conor was shit faced and I was a 14 year old in the 4th row losing my mind. (I originally had balcony seats and the venue let me swap mine to sit next to a friend who was buying their ticket and hooked it up) KingTacoMunster and anchorclose

They had two complete drum sets on stage. One of my favorite shows ever! corey.

wiscodeman
The last time I saw them was on the People's Key tour when they played at the Riverside in Milwaukee. I remember everyone kinda had this feeling at the time that this was possibly the last Bright Eyes tour, which meant it was most likely the last time they'd come through Milwaukee. Also I've heard Conor has a particular affinity towards the city too, which made the show feel more special. At one point he had a hilarious rant about Scott Walker (our governor at the time), calling him a "Nazi creep" or something haha. The coolest part was during the encore, the last song was One For You, One For Me, and people started coming up onto the stage and hugging Conor while he was singing and security would then escort the first few people offstage, but more and more people kept doing it until eventually there were like 30+ people on stage and went all the way until the show ended. It was the chillest stage rush I've ever seen haha. You could sense a lot of different emotions from a lot of people, celebratory, happy tears, etc. It seemed so bittersweet thinking this was the last time we'd seem them come through. One of my favorite concert memories ever.
