Vaporwave has been killing my wallet the last 2 days

Do y’all in this thread not know how to read or something? They paid the manufacturing costs for the album out of pocket and took pre orders through Pledge Music. When it was time for Pledge Music to pay them out for the pre orders, Pledge Music up and said “fuck you” and kept all the money. What are they supposed to do, give away the record for free??

Are the discs themselves even in good shape? I'd imagine anyone who threw a box of records in the wet garage didn't take the best care of them in the first place. If they're actually something that you want to listen to and enjoy, you might be better off looking for a good used copy or possibly a new copy.

I just discovered a FB Page called Vaporwave Record Club which is what's tipping me off. I'll try to post what I can but I've missed a lot of things.

So what exactly would you have them do in this scenario? Distribute the album for free after paying the full cost of manufacturing, without getting any of the pre-order money? Reimburse the fans out of their own pockets, after already getting fucked out of tens of thousands of dollars?

Huh? How were you ripped off then? I thought you were complaining about the price of the new album. Which is absurd but in line with the records I mentioned which were also incredibly overpriced.

I was really skeptical of this company when it first hit the internet. After seeing what they were about and ordering some records and realizing they put out a quality product, my mind was changed. They ship their records with the works and make a 29 dollar monthly fee worth it. That’s not easy to do. Nothing but good experiences with them and while I don’t love everything they put out the good stuff more than makes up for it. I hope they stay in business and keep releasing really good records. I just ordered that De La ROTM because it’s beautiful and got TVOTR a couple weeks ago. Also that Main Source was perfect and just in time. Hopefully they keep it up.
