Whip Wilson
Sweet Jesus, guys. You are the best. I was just fucking around because that lot\price was ridiculous; those aren't my records. I would've come back and set the record straight sooner, but got distracted by the Superbowl. Leave it to this thread to make me feel shame for mocking others. Damn you Mondo Thread! achillesstand7
And did anyone bought the Black Sunday variant(s)? I finally gave in and got the Seattle variant.
circuit bored records
And did anyone bought the Black Sunday variant(s)? I bought both because I don't care about football and it's an awesome soundtrack.
Fowty Dollaz
I'm really curious to know how many of each team variant of Black Sunday were bought. And how does that work? Do they (hypothetically) order 1112 copies of pats and 987 copies of seahawks or just round them out to 1200 and 1000, respectively?
idreamofpunk
I got the Seattle variant, and received GotG with just Rocket holding the gun up.

I'm pretty sure they would round up and then use the leftovers as replacement discs for any faulty copies.
slinch
Not sure where to post this, and this thread definitely isn't the right place, but I still think some would like tho see this. For any fans of Coraline/Paranorman, the production company behind these (Laika) is having a public auction in Beverly Hills, but there's also a preview exhibit in NYC. You can also bid on everything online: http://comics.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?N=52+793+794+791+1893+792+2088+4294950223&ic=ih-animationArt-ArtOfLaika-PR-viewLot-auction7129-010615 They're auctioning off everything from posters and concept art to production used puppets. Here's also a cool gallery of the exhibit: http://collider.com/the-art-of-laika-the-boxtrolls-paranorman-coraline/ andrewlucas

I'd totally buy Coraline and the other mother if i had a bunch of extra money.

slinch
I'm not a big fan of Coraline and I haven't watched Paranorman yet, but I kind of want to bid just because I absolutely adore the artistry that goes into these stop-motion projects. I actually like the behind-the-scenes videos almost more than watching the films just because they show that these things actually exist in real life and the work that goes into this is mind-blowing. Really, I have infinite amounts of respect for people making this.
BuzzersonKillwell
I figure to grab the Pats variant on eBay. I'm guessing it'll stay cheap. Whip Wilson

Rip
Got my copy of GOTG today! This release is absolutely beautiful. And it came with the always-expected seam split! Eh, whatever. I expect that with my Mondo releases now. I wasn't in the first 1000 orders, BUT I did get a Peter Quill handbill so I'm incredibly excited about that. Definitely the one I wanted the most. Number11
Just got my GOTG. I'm surprised by how thin the packaging feels. I'm assuming the screen printing process worked best with the material they ended up using? Either that or they're just being cheap.
TFP
Just got my GotG and I got lucky and my jacket is intact. It looks like there was a hairline split starting on the spine though. I only got the standard one print and I received Gamora. I am really happy with the release. I will listen to it later.

slinch
Well Laika didn't make those from what I know. They're credited as a production company on it, but I remember reading they didn't make any puppets or other production pieces.
