    records on walls.

Just make your own. Cost me a few dollars (two different wood trim pieces that I glued together / painted, cut the proper lenght that made sense for me and then used my nail gun to attach to the wall). It takes a second to take the record out to the turntable (vice versa). No frames needed. I display a few records that either means a lot to me or that I simply love the artwork. I also been keeping my latest purchases there as they usually get quite a bit of playing time.

  2. Really? Complaining on a message board usually solves all of my problems. Or was I just relating my experience like everyone else on this board does every day? I'm not blaming the packaging job for the damage my copy suffered. I had an extra piece of cardboard in there, but it's still been way too damn hot lately. What I'm personally not thrilled with is the glue that's all over my jacket, especially since I had the record opened so it could be sent outside of the sleeve. Somewhere between it being opened and being packaged this stuff got all over it, and now it's dried and I can't remove it without destroying the jacket even more.

    records on walls.

Wait, wait, wait...you mean to tell me that I have been playing and listening to my records all this time when I should have been hanging them on my walls?!?! I so have failed.

  5. We are working on some new features for VC including ones that will help with selling and trading amongst each other! The first feature was added yesterday. It is a Sell/Trade Feedback System! Now you can leave feedback that is either positive, neutral or negative following a trade or sale transaction with another VC user. We feel this is a way more beneficial tool for the community vs. a Karma type system in the sense that it will encourage a useful way of rating people on VC. How To Use Trader Feedback 1.) Find and click the users profile 2.) Select "Leave Feedback" (Right beside the Private Message button) 3.) Fill out the fields: Note: you must link to the thread where you initiated the trade or transaction. These can include a WTB, FS, FT thread or anything along those lines. Viewing User Feedback Beforetrading with a user you will now be able to view their Feedback by visiting their profile and clicking their "Sell / Trade Feedback" Tab. You can also view a complete updated list of all current Sell/Trade Feedback by visiting the "Sell/Trade Feedback" tab on the top of the site. Let us know what you think and if you have any questions!

  6. "We were thinking about doing pre-orders next week, but because turnaround times at Rainbo have been so long lately, I think we're going to push it back to the week of July 2nd. Of course, we reserve the right to arbitrarily change our mind at a moment's notice." On this same page.

    records on walls.

I have to pipe up. HANGING a record with something like 'Records on Walls' or a railing, or using an easel is ENTIRELY different than FRAMING a record.

  16. Went back home to Rochester for the weekend and spent some time digging through the bargain bins, ended up with a pretty decent haul: $1 7"s: Madonna - Angel MARRS - Pump Up The Volume / Anita Corey Hart - Never Surrender poster sleeve Prince - Pop Life / Hello Vanity - Pretty Mess promo 12"/LPs: Merry Christmas from Sesame Street (tried to replace a old, worn-out cassette copy this past year and it went for over $100 on eBay - finally found one for $5!) Michael Jackson - Thriller (no Michael Jackson production credit, which is apparently a first pressing and better SQ due to the stampers not being as worn at that point. We'll see...) Grace Jones - Fame Sheila E - Romance 1600 The Beautiful South - Song For Whoever 12" Frankie Goes To Hollywood - The Power of Love gatefold 12" (when I got it home I realized it had the standard 12" in the limited sleeve...oh well.)

  17. Strikeouts really don't compare well across eras. Not as bad as wins, but still. It's not a coincidence that all the 20 K games have come in the last 25 years or so. And if you are gonna judge this way, I don't think the stat to justify it with is the number of defensive outs. A guy can blast two balls just foul and whiff on the 3rd for a strikeout, the pitcher barely missing giving up a run. A pitcher can also get a ton of weak nubbers and pop-flys that are really terrible at-bats. The best thing to look at would probably be hard hit balls that resulted in outs.

    records on walls.

there was no real sleeve for that release it was a plastic sleeve with a screenprinted paper insert so thats why it looks like the records are popping out the bottom

  19. Seriously. The attention to detail by these guys from production to packaging is just stellar, always. The music is just a perk.

  20. Hi Damian I'm still trying to post stalk you to try and get a heads up on what is going on with our trade. It's been a month since I returned the original (wrong) record that you sent me and now ever since you've been ignoring me.

  21. On the pending list- order #1072847 I think I was finally able to complete the check out process about 15 minutes after it was available, so I'm fairly certain my order's one of the "not a chance in hell" ones. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on his FB page and talk about how unfair the world is, and how he obviously caused the website problems that prevented me from getting my order in.

  24. Just got my blue copy and I'm just about done with the A side, it sounds great! The plastic wrap was tight as fuck on it and my corners are bent a bit. I was actually a bit nervous on how to pull the wrap off it because of how tight it was. Still happy as a pig in shit to own this!

  27. Books. Fuck Kindles and Nooks, there's something awesome about being surrounded by a library of books in your house. I have three full size bookshelves that are overflowing and the only problem is that I havent' found a nice way to organize them. I'm actually considering dewey-decimalling my personal books, but that really seems overkill.

  28. I don't know much, but when it comes to this I've tried using my speed adjustment to sync a vinyl with an mp3 and have never been able to successfully do it. As close as it gets, it always loses sync after at least a minute or so. I would guess it's going to be virtually impossible to set it exactly at 33 1/3rpm, another one of those imperfections that comes along with the media IMO. I would just try to get it as close to a digital/CD version as possible I think direct drive tables are far more accurate on the default speed setting than a belt drive that has the same adjustment. When I had a belt drive stanton, the default speed setting actually put the song into a different key entirely (about a half-step higher, I had to slow it way down to get it back to normal). But I imagine all tables are different in this regard, and I'm not comparing high-end belt drive tables since those usually don't have a speed adjustment.
