  2. What's hilarious is that there are a huuuge number of poor people who will always vote Republican no matter what, because of perceived differences on gun control, abortion, the gays, the Mexicans, whatever. I guess you can chalk this quote up to "rallying the base" or whatever, but not only is he giving a "fuck you" to almost half the country for being poor, but a good chunk of those poor people are ready to vote for him anyway, even against their own interests. It's amazing.

  3. There is a large portion of the population that will vote republican no matter who is running. There is a large portion of the population that will vote democrat no matter who is running.

  4. Got my record + slipmat today. It's the colorful orange one. They just wrote Alex on it, so I'm going to try and flip it and say it was signed by Alex Kerns.

  5. Speaking strictly iPods - out of all of the ones and other various mp3 players I've ever owned, only one generation will always remain my all-time favorite design (out of any mp3 player):

  9. I was at that Reel & Restless Fest and let me just say that in all the years and times I've seen Hulud live, that was a top fiver for me. They sounded heavy as hell and beefed up. And oh...I listened to the new album today...it's heavier and faster and all Hulud. It'll definitely please fans. Psyched even more now for its release whenever it will be next year.

  10. That would be this guy. Can't tell you how excited I am to get this. I was even more pumped to find out about the special covers. I'm going to treat this thing like a child.

  11. So I have a proposition for those who can't get to a show and want the VIP vinyl. I don't collect all variants of AOF vinyl like I do C&C stuff. If someone wants to help me pay for a VIP ticket, the vinyl is yours. I'm assuming the VIP tickets will be about $200 (that's how much they're going for in other cities). I'm aiming this more towards those in the US who aren't getting a show but really it's open to anyone. edit: VIP tickets are indeed $200 for the Vancouver show. I'm going to try my best to pick one up tomorrow. You can PM me any offers in the meantime

  13. I do think they put too many songs on the album. I think they should have played more shows, and just recorded an EP first, then an album (but that's the route I wish all bands took, no matter what their seniority was like). I'm sure some of the songs were meant to be Riverdales/SW, I'm glad Dan took em back too. Stoked that when they play live he plays songs from all of his old bands too...he deserves more recognition for his songwriting.

  15. Yes I agree. Say I search "Ceremony" I'd like to add more than one record at a time. As of now I have to search for each album at a time.

  16. A great idea would be to be able to simultaneously select multiple items from an "add product" search.

  17. Not sure why it hasn't been mentioned yet, but their records were pretty expensive. Just saying.

  21. this is going to be brutal. once it is complete it will be great to only have to worry about inputing what you buy, but right now its going to be a pain in the ass to import all this.

  26. So your logic is: because Apple can't release a new phone every day to compete with emerging technology... they're "behind-the-spec" I can see no fault with this argument. You win the internets.

  27. Cover songs just need a compulsory mechanical license. 9.1 cents per song per copy manufactured and you're good to go. Don't even need the artist's permission. Just about the only thing in US copyright law that makes sense.
