  3. Hi there, this is Isa - Slow Crush's singer. Firstly, I want to apologize for yesterday's show. Lack of sleep had taken it's toll last night and we let it get the better of us. For that, we are truly sorry. We were the only band who didn't have the liberty to sound check, which is crucial for us. Due to this, the balance on stage was far from ideal but we tried our best to battle through. On top of that, Jelle's bridge turned chainsaw on us, gradually ripping his strings throughout each song making them unravel and impossible to keep in tune. Vocal volume is always a challenge, especially without a sound check but that is also part and parcel with our music - vocals as an additional instrument layer rather than sitting way on top of everything. To get things straight, all Jelle said after you informed me about the vocals being too quiet was "çava, Isa?" which translates to "you ok, Isa?" to which I confirmed that I was. That was all that was said. Nothing more, nothing less. Again, we're really sorry to you and everyone at the show in Oakland last night to have caught us on that downer and promise to make it up to you next time. Isa

  5. I am absolutely fine with this. Everyone who knows mwY knows they take all this stuff super serious, care very deeply about their fan base, and will be around for a long while into the future; they are not going anywhere and want everything to be perfect, which is all I expect from them. If people's mistakes was expecting anything less, that's on them.

  6. Mad respect to Isa! So cool & perfect to come in & clear the air & in such a level headed manner. Just makes the band even better in my eyes. Bummer it went down the way it did for you guys.

  7. Vinyl Debut of the album "Wisconsin Death Trip" by Static-X. Single LP on 180 gram SILVER & BLACK MIXED COLORED vinyl. Limited edition of only 1000 copies. Including Insert. Gatefold Sleeve Wisconsin Death Trip is the debut studio album by Industrial Metal band Static-X, hailing from the Midwest of the United States. After lead singer Wayne Static and drummer Ken Jay met at a Virgin Records store in Chicago, it was not long until they decided to head out west to California to enlist a lead guitarist and bassist. Once in California, Koichi Fukuda became their guitarist, and not long after, they discovered Californian Tony Campos to complete the band as their bassist. "Push It" is the first single off the album, one of the band's most recognizable and popular songs, followed by the second single "I'm with Stupid". "Bled for Days" is the final single, of which the video was composed of recordings from their live shows, and the audio was spliced together with the original album version. This song has also appeared on various soundtracks, such as the Universal Soldier: The Return and Bride of Chucky. In August 2001 the RIAA certified the album as platinum. http://www.newonvinyl.com/en/static-x-wisconsin-death-trip-ltd.html?mc_cid=b847a27957&mc_eid=1c8051e1d7

  11. Getting close! You know I don’t care about waiting... my only point is that by now many people have spun the standard vinyl, done numerous digital plays, seen them live... hopefully when this shows up the packaging is super cool and I want to jump right back in.

  17. There is far too much to quote & respond too haha. I’ll do my best to address a bit of everything. Re: pg.lost. Despite not caring for them much, there isn’t a post-rock/metal band I wouldn’t go see if they came my way. I don’t doubt for a second that they would slay live. Re: Live vs Recorded. I agree with both Owen & Gumbo. I do put a lot of stock into a band’s live performance, but also appreciate a great album. TEOTO is definitely front & center in my point of “Great live band, lackluster studio band”. I won’t buy “-aire” on vinyl because it’s just not an album I’m going to go out of my way to listen to much. But I won’t miss them live. Re: Godspeed. I actually had the exact opposite experience as Gumbo. I had always liked them (albeit casually) & thought seeing them live would really put them over the top. But they were probably the most disappointing band I’ve seen in a long time. They really did nothing for me live. Re: Au Revoir. Definitely agree with Gumbo. I like their album; don’t love it. I mix it in on shuffle but haven’t spun my vinyl in a while. But they were probably top 3 live @ Dunk. —- Good live performances can really put studio recordings in a new light for me. There are plenty of albums across all genres that I like or am “meh” on that take on a new life after hearing some of it live. But the opposite happens, too (again TEOTO). There’s this other band I heard live & it was really the first time I had listened to them (The Record Company...not post-rock lol). They played one of the best live sets I had ever seen. Incredible energy & sounded perfect. Bought their new album, & it’s straight flaccid trash. Lacks everything I loved about the live performance. So there really is no right answer. It’s all about personal perspectives & experiences.

  18. Hey Isa, Thanks for chiming in. That sucks that you didn't get a sound check. That explains why everything just sounded off. Sucks when stuff like that happens. Thank you for clearing it all up. My wife and I were sitting there listening and really wanted to help. We almost walked back to the sound guy to let him know to up the vocals a tad and turn down the bass, which seemed to take over everything. We were coming from a place of concern and it just seemed like we annoyed you guys. Sorry about that. I hope the rest of your tour plays out great!
