jgm
Hey, folks. I purchsed a record collection from a guy I know who was going to take them to a pawn shop. They weren't going to give him much at all for them so I gave him a little better deal. I don't know much about them, so I was hoping you could help me with their value. I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks! swinx

BuzzersonKillwell
Probably .50 to 1.25 per record. You can try and check individual titles at discogs.com if you like but at first glance I wouldn't say you've got too much to get excited about from a retail perspective. Hairy Potter
you have a gold mine of sick jams though
gabpower
Depends on the condition of each record and jacket. I see you have some good music there but also some less sought after records. I'd say on average between $0.50 to $5 per record. chiefwahoo
mrewest
Give me a year & I'll go record by record & break down average worth down to the penny. Klefki
jhulud
I spot some Anthrax, Dokken, and The Cult in there. Works for me! 99% of those are bargain bin records. $0.50 to $5.00 at most as was mentioned. Good luck!
jerseydave77
That Nektar LP is pretty sweet. So is the Motley Crue LP. I can't take the time to read all the titles but you are not sitting on a gold mine here. I couldn't imagine breaking these out piece by piece so your best bet is creating lots by band, genre, era and selling them that way. If you paid less than $100 you should double your money and then some but you are not looking at a huge pay day. Limit your effort in selling these. mrewest
People really take zero time to browse VC to actually see what is discussed. In saying that, I'll give you $10 just to take the time & spin every record start to finish. You know, listen to the records you bought. kk-downing, cbbrew22, Duff and 1 other
mcpherson123
Count exactly how many records are in that collection. Add a dollar sign to that quantity. That is its value. EDIT: On second look, that Kill 'Em All spine looks pretty nice. That one is probably worth a good amount depending on the condition. I would keep it if I were you though. museummouth
Any record store would give you $10-20 for the lot.

cephcarn4
Metallica might be worth something depending if its an original from 83. If its from megaforce records it will probably fetch around 80-

If its from megaforce records it will probably fetch around 80-100 Going off the condition and the way the rest have been stored, you would have a hard time selling KEA for that much....would have to be in pretty good condition for a $80+ sell surely
somethingvinyl
Yeah, what most said. 95% of those are common records. They're $5 retail at a used record shop, so they're only going to give you .50 cents or a buck for most.
orangesix
about 5 good records surrounded by a bunch of junk. only 1 or 2 are worth more than $5.

Twistedshabazz
Based on condition alot of these would probably be passed on at a local shop. They are selling them for 1-3 bucks in good to very good shape. Your best bet may be craigslist or a place like that and sell them locally. If you are really looking to sell here im sure some would take a few off your hands. There are a few i would take myself.
apirk
Probably worth a little more then whatever the guy from the pawn shop was willing to give him when you consider the time you are going to have to put in to selling them to get their top value which probably isn't much.
