Spent today color matching records to colors to be printed. Yes I know there's no gray or white shown as those are the easier ones to match the vinyl to the print versus the print to the vinyl. Chreers, Todd

I left a comment on Relient K's recent post asking them to make the vinyl available online and they "liked" my comment. Take that for what it's worth.

The retail version has The Ballad Of The Tragic Hero (Pity And Fear) as the b-side. There's also a promo that is deceiving. The b-side is Private Helicopter, but it lists Carlotta Valdez as the artist for some reason. I did some looking around to find out more about the Merrymakers LP and found an old VC thread about forgotten 90s bands where someone said they picked up a copy used for $4 at FYE. So if that and nelso are to be believed, it does exist.

Relient K - My Girlfriend 7" Rumor has it around 5 copies of it exist and the rest disappeared after the band's trailer was stolen carrying the rest of them right before their first tour began.

Only Love alone is the best Trio song in the last 10 years. There are a couple of clunkers on this new album, but there are more than a handful of really great tunes.

I like the EP enough. I think as far as pop/punk goes they're doing enough to set themselves slightly apart. There are a ton of pop/punk bands and to rise to the heap in any way with any kind of buzz they have to have something. The EP doesn't show much progression or refinement. I guess I just like the band and the style they've shown to enjoy the new batch of songs and really only expect a continuation of what they've already done (at least in this early point of their career). "Skin Deep" is probably my favorite song on the EP. Lyrically it is a little juvenille but that could be said with a lot of pop/punk. There are the exceptions. I think these guys need to get into a studio with a good production team and see what they can turn out on a full length. If they are anything special in terms of lasting value the full length will show it (or at least I think that).

My copy looks like the scorpion picture disc, but the vinyl on the D-side is blue instead of clear. Mistake or...? Do I have a ticket out of the ghetto on my hands?

I'd offer more than cost, but the $100+ they were going for on eBay is way too much for a 7" released today.

Let me know about that. I'm a Pink Lincolns collector and have never heard of it. The only thing I know of that they ever did on blue wax was a four-way split with the Crumbs, AAA and the GoToHells. Ooohh, wait, they also had a promo only 7" release around the time of Headache that has something about Tea in the title, but I think that was black only too. Man, am I dying to know what record that is. I have already emailed him and asked. But i will keep you posted on what i hear. I grew up in st. pete and have the cotton mather 7" on black. but didnt ever see any other pressing. If you are an expert and dont know about it, i would assume it would be the 4 way split. which is fine because i dont have that, but it would be nice to come up with some crazy rare ep.
