  1. During a Q&A before the Afghan Whigs show last night, Dulli mentioned that the box set release is "imminent". He said they're all remastered and the covers are reimagined versions of the originals. He said the box set includes everything, including the stuff he didn't want us to previously hear. Due to the normal vinyl production issues, they had to prioritize getting the new Whigs LP pressed first. One Little Indian/Independent is handling it.

  6. I've seen Conor (in some incarnation) a bunch of times in the past 10 years. There have been performances that were stone cold sober and absolutely wonderful (Carnegie Hall in 2012 comes to mind) and times he was shithoused and it was noticeably bad (about 4-5 years ago) and times he was definitely drunk as hell but still did a great job (the last time I saw Bright Eyes). I think he's probably "fine" as much as drunk can be. Does he probably need help? Yes, we've all heard his songs. Is he super-wealthy? Yeah. He'll be fine, and he's seemingly self-aware enough to know when enough is enough. TL;DR- what @Shitty Rambo said, and just issue refunds where appropriate and keep making the money for the two normal guys in BE and the rest of the backing band.

  10. Dude same. I love Hangman, but his reign since the Danielson feud has been incredibly lackluster. I mean… the guy consistently puts on great matches, so it’s nothing against him there. But he just hasn’t FELT like the champion. Super excited to see the matches that Punk has as champ. And then even more excited for MJF to eventually take it from him.

  15. I don’t have any. I was the one who created this thread back in 2011 because I wanted it on vinyl so bad! It finally happened and I missed every pressing. So, no, I don’t have a copy to trade, but if you decide to sell it outright please let me know. I need to own this on vinyl.

Scored MCIS and Siamese Dream earlier tonight at online record stores. more expensive than the last time I owned both but I’m pleased I didn’t resort to eBay. i miss 1996 sometimes. Tonight Tonight video played back to back with Bone Thugz’ Crossroads every hour it seems on the MTV Beach House…….ahhh….Ok back to the arguing.

  17. accept that things happened in the past and that we can’t change it or the present and we should just make the best of how things are, like a sister that is there for us no matter what, or a record that we can’t return and just move on?

I worked at a record store 2013-2016, it's my understanding from the policy of the store I worked at, if the record was defective in any way the store would refund you, and the store would contact the distributor for a replacement, the record label sells stock to distributors and record shops buy from distributors, there is no interaction between a record shop and a record label, so the label has no responsibility to replace defective records. It's the responsibility of the place you bought it from. FYI for anyone who doesn't understand how things work behind the scenes

  19. yo I'm not trying to be any kind of way here and I rarely post but wanted to share. I have recently heard the Loser LP in full... all I can say is everyone is in for a treat that is well worth 17 years of waiting. The record is Gospel at their most aggressive, discordant and captivating. The label talk of it being a 'masterpiece' is 100% on point. All 8 songs are barnburners and rest assured: they are all Gospel through and through. I love this band and am so thrilled that they are still doing their own thing with reckless abandon or care for our expectations. I am truly blown away and excited for you to hear it too.
