  1. Hey Derek. What part of STOP dont you understand? You're the one who always has to have the last word. Dont respond to this. The people are telling you to STOP. So do just that. And Zero... STOP egging his holier than thou attitude on. STOP being fucking children. Both of you. Go to your rooms. Sincerely, Everyone.

  2. I always find it amusing when labels get all pissy about returns or dealing with customer service. If you don't want to deal with returns or customer service in general, don't run a label or distro. Is it worth it to lose a customer over a $5 CD? As someone who's sold records for 10 years now the answer is absolutely not, I don't care how busy you are. If you run your business the right way you should have minimal returns.

  3. Secretly emailed me back and are sending me a replacement LP. No questions asked. I made a long reply to thank them for their great customer service. Especially when I essentially got called a liar the other day by a different label cause my CD didn’t get to me but said “delivered”. So anyone with a warped JPC variant just hit up Charlie at Secret and he’ll sort ya out.

  8. OMG. This is fucking hilarious. I'm kind of sad that I missed all the drama. Signed, King Cannonfunk

  9. Ugh. I really don't think I'd like any of the Misfits if I had to hang out with them for a while. Doyle might be entertaining, but he does seem like a big meathead.

  14. I got to see the Fever 333 first show at Randy's donuts. Happened to be doing an internship in LA that summer. First EP is actually meh to me. It goes hard, but is kinda Meat and Potatoes lyric wise. Album is slightly better IMO but I know it's not for everyone. More flavor, more identity to them instead of generic heavy music. Their creative work and DIY ethos is also refreshing. Lots of pretty good livestreams, like when the show got cancelled in Poughkeepsie and they managed to build a "festival" of their own. As for the Demos itself, not a fan of Tragic Hero's customer service and extremely long pre-orders like on the year+ long Confide pre-orders, so definately waiting till these exist in the wild. Don't need a rare variant.

  16. Wow, that’s terrible service. I recently ordered a couple of LP’s from a small label who screwed up the order but told me to keep the LP I didn’t order and also refunded my money. The customer service was great even though I’m pretty sure they also took a loss.

  17. An almost 40 year old guy complaining about a generic 5 song ep with one of the worst Blink songs on there can try right? 🙂

  18. So no PM then? No surprise there. Imagine going through life ready to rage at every opportunity while simultaneously being spineless. Yowza. And yes. Our. It takes two to tango. Surely you know that. I “started it” [lol] by offering a suggestion to frame your post to come across like less of an asshole. Constructive criticism since you really seem to struggle with that on the boards. I didn’t think it would cause you to rage all day and veer this thread off topic. You are a hopeless individual and you have my sympathy. “That Fuck Face Started It!”: Failing Internet Arguments, and Other Ways to Embarrass Yourself While Pushing 40. Bought the hardback for $15. Had the author sign it with his tears. Sold it for $120.

  20. This past December I saw a copy of Hop Along - Painted Shut in a new arrival used section at a record store with an $8 sticker. I assumed it would be black, but peeked inside and saw that it was the white with pink haze variant, the only color variant that there is of this record. Instantly bought. Looks like it has sold on Discogs for 90, and the two copies for sale are 150 and 175.

  21. Wild. I feel like I've made some nice sales over the years... but never within a week's time, and certainly not at that large of a profit. Thanks for sharing. Not everything has to be a competition on the internet. Consider framing your posts in a different light sometime. Cannonfunk shared a cool story that he started with a playful statement. His response begins and ends with a smiling emoticon. He's not beating his chest or trying to flex on all of us. Starting a reply with "No, you don't." comes off as unnecessarily abrasive. [vs. "Think I may have you beat, actually..." or "Not shabby at all. But I can give you a run for your money..."] Between this and you taking actual offense to the phrase "come at me" – used in jest, and aimed at no one in particular – I feel like you're maybe just bad at interpreting dialogue on the internet. Not every discussion has to be a pissing match. Not everyone is out to get you. I'm not sure if you just enjoy rolling up your sleeves and pretending to be a tough guy online, or if your true demeanor is equally toxic when you step away from the keyboard... but it's bad news either way. This part of my post was made to illustrate how others may perceive you as a dick – I don't expect you to actually take any of it to heart. You are more than welcome to do your usual laugh-react, reply with something snide, and stew over it for the remainder of the day. You've proven to be nothing if not a creature of habit and I don't expect that'd deviate from your tried-and-true rebuttals. But I'm just saying that it was a cool experience that Cannonfunk shared. I'm glad he posted it. This thread isn't the Mortal Kombat tournament of flippers or profitable sales. Instead of calling you a dick and triggering you to rage all afternoon, I'm explaining how and why you come across the way you do on the boards. And as an aside, I would personally be impressed if you could net $1,460 from your stash of donated CDs. Hardly calling it impossible. Just stating that I'd be taken aback if you edged out the kind of profit that Cannonfunk scored. I don't know if anyone in this thread will come close to that, realistically. But as a reminder: there is no need to take it as a competitive challenge. There's no way you'll EVER sell anything for the kind of profit that King Cannonfunk has set lol how's it feel to be a LOSER just roll over and take it you clearly know dick about landing a sale online lmao FLAWLESS VICTORY up in this thread haha get fucked you rookie-ass flipper.

  23. I prefer the “grabbed a copy”, “it shipped”, and “got my copy” posts because I can update my spreadsheet of people who preordered, grabbed a copy, are awaiting shipment, and had it delivered.

  24. I was going to post this earlier after hearing the new song. Refrained since no real release info at all yet. I listened to the song a few times. I’m torn about it. Maybe I’m too hung up on the s/t, Doppelganger, Ghostship sounds...I appreciate their latter-day sound but I dunno...I’ll still buy this anyways once it comes out.

  25. I got you all beat A couple years ago I was browsing OfferUp, when I came across a seller who was asking absolutely insane prices for her vintage 7” singles (ie - she wanted $50 for common 45’s that aren’t even worth $1). I assumed it would be a waste of time looking through her ads, but as I’ve come to learn over the past 15 years, if someone has no idea what they’re selling, they may actually underprice an item out of sheer ignorance. A few minutes into browsing her sales, I ran across an odd looking Lynyrd Skynyrd 7”, which had the band name misspelled as “Lynard Skynard.” She was asking $40 for it. Out of curiosity, I decided to look it up on Discogs. It had sold once in 2015 for $12, but only 7 people had it... and 210 people wanted it. That’s when my spidey senses started tingling! After doing some research, it turns out that “Lynard Skynard” was the original band name... when the group was still in high school! The 7” in question was their first recorded demo. Only a few hundred were made, and they were passed out to friends and family, and sold at their earliest hometown shows. I decided to buy it immediately, sight unseen. Trying to contain my excitement without tipping off the seller of its value, I pleaded with her to make sure that it was well protected during shipping, and sent in a sturdy box. She agreed, and the wait began. About 2 weeks later, I was at work when I received a notification that it had been delivered. The moment the boss yelled “Lunch Break,” I jumped into my car and sped home. Opening the mailbox, my heart absolutely sunk: She sent it in a padded envelope, with no stiffeners. “No fucking way this thing survived,” I thought, as I pulled it out. However, it still felt solid. I opened it up, and... the vinyl was in nearly perfect condition. No scratches, glossy sheen, and almost new in appearance. Within a week, I sold it for $1,500. And yes, that’s the actual sold listing. Not a bad $40 investment, huh?

  26. "Made just for Record Store Day" and "available exclusively at Urban Outfitters" in the same sentence is the most contradictory sentence I've read in awhile. But I just finally watched Into The Spiderverse and was surprised that I actually really liked that Sunflower song lol I would buy it on a 7" for $5
