I used to buy back my own label’s releases from Hot Topic during Hot Cash days at literal pennies on the dollar then putting them back in my webstore and selling them at full price. This is how I remember HT vinyl at different points. Sitting in crates that were jammed wherever and seeing that they had been handled by people who did not care even a little about being careful with them. Only listened to 2x of them so far but sounded good to me. When I compare this set to something like Failure’s 92-96 box set, even if there was a ~$30 difference, it shows how bare bones this one is. I’m sure it’s somewhat by design, sleek, simple, etc., but they could’ve at least printed on the spines of the jackets. But, like you said, I’ve spun Coloring Book and Our Color Green, and they both sound excellent. Because the order of them seems to be off. Like side A is: You Think You’re (John Fucking Lennon) Stars Natural Born Farmer And side B is: Jesus Glue All Good Junkies Go to Heaven It’s like it was pressed backwards and in reverse order, if that makes sense.
