  1. it's part of the 10 bands 1 cause thing that happens every October - the Chiodos pink variant will be in retail stores on 10/16

  2. It's gotten out of hand, see every scorpio release. Quiet vinyl does not make an audiophile pressing, hell a well mastered record does not make an audiophile pressing. Living Stereo shaded dogs/mercury living presence classical records are audiophile, Belafonte "At Carnegie Hall" is audiophile, those boring ass direct to disc sheffield lab records are audiophile. I'd say Cowboy Junkies "Trinity Sessions" is audiophile, but a record needs to be well recorded and then well mastered to be considered an audiophile record. Some of the stuff MOFI/AP release aren't even truly audiophile because they weren't well recorded to begin with, as I stated earlier it's a real small cross section of well recorded and enjoyable music. I like all sorts of music that isn't well recorded but just because it sounds better than it has ever sounded doesn't make it audiophile if it was recorded in a less than ideal room without using top notch recording technology and proper mic placement (hell some people debate music recorded with more than one mic discredits it from being audiophile in certain parts of the internet)

  3. I’d say “audiophile” is used incredibly loosely, which is unfortunate because there are releases that deserve being highlight as such because the utmost care in putting out a product in pursuit of the best sound is a real thing.

  4. Lol. Now that's how you get fans to feel the FOMO. Make 1,000, sells out super quick, make another 1,000. Hope they start getting on some of the other classics from that era. Could use some Fall of Troy, early Coheed, Armor for Sleep DTMB. and of course one of my forever wants. Fear Before Self Titled.

  5. I’ll add to the opinion that this pressing sounds great. EVR did a great job with this one.

  6. Disagree. My Blue/White looks exactly like the mockup. The Black/White copies I've seen on IG also look a million times better than say the Blink-182 DED that just came out. Art is pretty basic, true. The fuzziness was expected on my end as well. It was part of the og CD/LP Design, so I figured it would remain fuzzy. Wouldn't call it a cash grab either since they likely won't repress this for a long time/ever, they have 5+ people to support, and it may need to support them for a year+. Was going to do the math here, but suffice to say, they aren't going to be getting Gold Jacuzzi's based off this.

  12. Such a cash grab of a release. Really basic. Cool it got repressed but damn the art looks shot and the finished product didn’t look like the mockups.

  13. Motion City Soundtrack have put up copies of their latest tour-only 7" that was a VIP Bundle exclusive from their "Don't Call It A Comeback" Tour. The 7" is $20 but has a steep $8 shipping cost, so with tax it is nearly a $30 7". But proceeds are going for a good cause - Save Our Stages. https://www.niicethings.co/motioncitysoundtrack/motion-city-soundtrack-7

  14. Basically read this as “fuck, now more people are going to buy this, so, that means, I won’t be able to sell the copy I bought for $120. I want to cancel my order!”

  15. People buy records based on how limited they are all the time. Also, I’m not OK with false advertising. I guess you are though? Anyways, I was just warning people that the store doesn’t give refunds. You didn’t have to be a jerk.

  16. Huh? Why even buy it in the first place if all you care about is the time limit ? This makes no fucking sense.

  22. Never liked them. Based on mainly “vinyl me please” has to be the most cringe name of anything ever to exist. I only bought once for Demon Days but their model has always been 1 decent album and then 2 trash ones to entice people to sub for 3 months. I see they’re raising to $52 a month now?? Wtf

  23. I think I like 2>1 also haha. Once the vinyl comes which should be mid September. I’ll probably start campaigns for II and maybe another release. also working on Nautilus III currently.
