Oh wait…I provided easily $1-2k in legal fees for creating his company and making sure it is ok. I set up everything on the business front to make sure it would run smooth. Then what does he proceed to do? He kicks me out because my cut was too big, and then gave discounts equal to, and bigger than, than the cut I was taking. I've never denied that you helped me with Abominable Electronics - you shelled out approx $1000 for parts and other stuff at the start and filed the paperwork for an LLC (which anyone could have done including myself, you just offered to do it because you "enjoy stuff like this" and I accepted) and I am very grateful for that. I really hate getting into this private shit but I'll get it out once for the record and then continue on with life. Again, my business became what it was once I shelled out cash to create my first successful pedal. I did what anyone honest would do and paid you back every penny and a little bit more for the investment you made even though you didn't contribute anything at all to the products that made the money. At that point you were answering a few emails, listing pedals on eBay, and posting on instagram but doing none of the physical work and marketing that was actually reaching sellers so I couldn't offer you 10% of my entire earnings anymore. It was a honest business move. Ross & Matt gave me $1250 or $1500, I forget, to do the layout and scanning of records for their "In the Grooves" book project. It moved incredibly slow and then after a meeting they decided it all of a sudden had to be completed in 3 weeks right as I was starting my business and was incredibly busy so I paid to ship the scanner back to Ross as well as all the records they had sent and sent them back all of the money I was given because I couldn't handle a 3 week deadline. It seems that the book was successful without me so I'm not sure what I did wrong here? Anyway - I'm done clearing my name here. I haven't lied to anyone here so there is no reason anyone should find my word as not being credible. So, my girlfriend is currently in law school; therefore, all we do is hang out with fellow law students, alumni, and professional lawyers of all walks of the legal system. I can say, with the utmost confidence, that anyone carrying a degree in law would possess basic typing and grammatical skills anyone passing Comp II with at least a B- would possess. I am speaking personally now because I have been dragged into this whole mess outside of VC. For some reason and because I know a few of the involved, it has permeated into my personal space media of not only IG but also FB and even email. I am not having any of this. Making threats and sending insulting messages to anyone involved in this, will not be tolerated. You want to be a part of VC? Then at least have the common sense and decency to act like a mature person who can handle conflict and conflict-resolution. I've had situations like this before where someone(s) blurred the line between what happens on VC and on online community and allowed it spill into their personal lives and essentially cause chaos and drag everyone and anyone involved and in the vicinity into it. No way this will happen again, at least not under my watch and especially when I've been unwillingly dragged into it. An attempt was made to maintain some peace and a semblance of decorum in all of this, but it seems that a few have taken it upon themselves to say "fuck that!" and go on their own wild attack spree. To the point where messages and accusations have been made so grossly insulting, that makes me think of even allowing this all to go on at this point. Whatever personal and business "issues" and "legal problems" y'all have with and between yourselves...be it Ross, Patrick, Molder, etc....this NOT the forum for it. This whole public humiliation and airing out dirty laundry is so lame and I will not have it here on VC. This it now Judge Judy. Take that somewhere else please. So. This thread is being temporarily locked while a discussion is held with affected parties and some details are cleared. It will reopen later. Maybe. For the time being. Dudes. It's a Friday night. I will temporarily do so as long as it stays civil. If you want to shit-talk and insult and be aggressive with each other, then it will be locked and essentially thrown into the nether regions of VC. Also. None of the Admins or Mods here are able to police anyone's actions outside of VC. What you decide to do on your own accord outside of the VC walls is all on you and accept responsilibity for not only those actions but also any potential repercursion and consequences.
