Been a while. Like many on the boards I’m out the 7” game. Never really spin them and they just keep getting more expensive. Anyways... new island series 7” for those of you keeping up your complete SDF collections! https://www.runforcoverrecords.com/products/668924-self-defense-family-make-me-a-pallet-fire-on-your-floor-local-clerics https://selfdefensefamily.bandcamp.com/album/make-me-a-pallet-fire-on-your-floor-b-w-local-clerics?utm_campaign=later-linkinbio-runforcover&utm_content=later-7152422&utm_medium=social&utm_source=instagram2 points -
Valleyheart - Everyone I’ve Ever Loved
Chr15a113n reacted to burndownlosangeles for a topic
The debut full length “Everyone I’ve Ever Loved“ from Valleyheart is finally being released on vinyl! This is a phenomenal record that didn’t get the attention it deserved when it was released on Rise Records a while back, so give it a listen if you haven’t heard of this band. There is also a shirt, wall flag, and 8-track available both individually and as a bundle. 1st pressing: Navy and Gold split / 500 Pre-Order Listen on Spotify1 point -

PO Now: JUNIUS - Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light

I think Robin is not so super into all shop stuff and more managing the bands. Good luck to you, though. I need to get over there myself and pick up quite a lot as well, but work's keeping me busy. It's either paul@ or dennis@1 point -
i can appreciate your perspective while still understanding that two wrongs don't make a right, and that using any anecdotal experiences and extrapolating that across the entire USPS doesn't really make much sense. alas, this topic has been beaten to death, and no one seems to be changing their opinion. so everyone just keep doing you and who cares what i think. i try to live my life under the theme of "do no harm" and it works for me.1 point

While I 100% agree with @jrodan and wouldn't do what you did, I understand why you did it. If I ran a business of any kind, I'd look for every way to save some $. Unfortunately the USPS can't make "profits" or anything of the sort and are in a kind of stranglehold. If they had to cut delivery to a few days a week, I'd be alright I guess, but I'd really like to maintain the status quo. So, I've been trying to buy and sell as much as I can/ want. @Shitty Rambo If we still had downvotes, I wouldn't downvote anyone over this, but I do think that we'd all be broke as fuck without the USPS. Ever tried to ship a record with UPS? Fucking costly.1 point -

appreciate the heads up on how supply chains work, brother. btw, it is single-handedly. you seem to be having some trouble with that, and since you were so nice to explain supply chains, i figured i could do you this solid. have a nice evening.1 point -

perhaps the optics of taking advantage of a program that is in the news for being on the cusp of being shutdown aren't that great. i have personally been buying stamps and packing materials at my local p.o. because i dont want to lose the service. maybe watch this and see if it makes you feel like you should maybe reconsider your "sticking it to the federal government" mentality.1 point -

From an outside perspective, that's a steal. USPS international rates are ridiculous. It costs at least 15 bucks to send a single LP to Canada. About the same to mail a single LP within Canada.1 point -

I'd keep an eye on Newbury Comics when they put their stock back up online. They normally get quite a few indie exclusives. Massachusetts is beginning to reopen on the 18th. I'm not sure that Newbury Comics will reopen right on that day, but it's a lead at least. Good luck snagging one.1 point -
