  5. Not trying to sound like a dick but nothing annoys me more than when someone from a band dies, the thread(Especially AP) is filled with comments along the lines of "I don't like the band but so sad he died" or "hate their music but such a bummer" Honestly, why do people feel the need to point out they don't like the band? A human being just died, nobody cares if you liked the fucking band or not.

  6. I agree you did not think this through. If you file a Paypal claim and you did receive your records, you are actually committing fraud yourself. On the legal front against the scammer, the likelihood is that the money is gone from the scammer's account already. He also seemed to have used other accounts so they are now the target of attack by Paypal. For instance if let's say Peter agrees with Bob to take money on Bob's behalf and Bob does the shipping, the liability is with Peter to deliver the goods. If Bob defaults, Peter will have to pick up the tab. If Peter was stupid enough to forward proceeds, maybe against a handling fee to Bob; Peter not Bob will have to make good from his own funds. The claim is against the person that got paid by the buyer. Peter obviously has got a claim against Bob, but unless he has forwarded the money via Paypal as a 'Goods' transaction he has no protection whatsoever. If Peter has no money, Paypal will refund the money and take it off peter later on. Paypal does not care about Bob in this instance at all. For Paypal this is only between Peter and the buyer. If Peter decides to bail and Paypal does not reclaim the money, the will do a quantitative assessment periodically to either change the rules to reduce losses that way or put up the fees. Which means that all the good sellers eventually pay for uncollected claims against bad sellers. So claiming fraudulently only hurts the community, apart from being a crime.

  7. BREAKING NEWS. NEW YORK, NY -Jets football practice was delayed nearly 2 hours today after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. Head coach, Ryan, immediately suspended practice & called the police & federal investigators. After a complete analysis, FBI experts determined that the white substance unknown to players was the GOAL LINE. Practice resumed after special agents decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again this season.

  9. Saw this today, thought everyone would want to know about it! Last December, Massachusetts-based DEFEATER was invited to record a BBC Maida Vale Session in the UK, which aired on Mike Davies Punk Show on BBC Radio 1 on January 24th. Just about one year later, Bridge Nine Records is excited to make this session available on digital and vinyl formats on December 18th and January 15th, respectively. Defeater guitarist (and Getaway Recording engineer) Jay Maas commented on the recording session: "On every level imaginable, this experience was a dream come true for me. Every band from The Cure, and The Smiths to Hot Snakes, and American Nightmare has been recorded behind those walls. It’s nothing but an honor and a treat to now be included on that list. We tracked live versions of 'But Breathing', 'Brothers', 'Warm Blood Rush', and 'Empty Glass'." He continued, "The studio was absolutely gorgeous. It had 20-foot ceilings, great acoustic treatment, a built-in glass vocal booth, and a lounge loft, all contained in the live room. There was a full 48-track SSL board, three silver-faced 1176ln compressors, an E.A.R. Fairchild replica, and hand built near field monitors, which sounded unreal, in the control room." Defeater recently completed an Australian tour with Blacklisted as well as a West Coast tour just prior to that. 2013 will see Defeater releasing their Live On BBC Radio 1 album and writing and recording new material for Bridge Nine Records. More information coming soon. B9R177 - Defeater, Live on BBC Radio 1: Digital Release Available 12/18/12: "But Breathing" "Warm Blood Rush" "Brothers" "Empty Glass" Vinyl Release Available 1/15/13: "But Breathing" "Warm Blood Rush" "Brothers" Pre-order info coming soon. In the meantime, check out Defeater music & merchandise in theB9Store.

  11. Yeah, that's what my sentiment is. How could it possibly get worse than Eps 1-3? I mean, between the cringeworthy romantic dialogue in Ep 2, "The Younglings" line and Ep 3 and Darth Vader yelling "NOOOOOOOOO" like a little bitch, how can it possibly get any worse?

  24. Remember that Intel-based Surfaces (Surface with Windows 8 Pro) are slated to come out around January. And those will have legacy software support, in addition to USB 3, a higher screen resolution and a couple of other things.

  29. I got to play with a Surface while at a training for work at a Microsoft store and I thought it was really cool. If you have Windows 8 at home, you can link it up with your Surface to access everything on your desktop (maybe more?). It also comes with a fullsuite of 2013 Office, which isn't out yet.

  34. I eat my words. But they must have know this way before, so I wonder why Greenhell didn't announce it earlier. Also, with the clear and green vinyl only available from German stores, producing their album there and playing the first gigs, it shows that Germany is really their main market. Americans, show some more love to your Texan countrymen!
