bumping a three-week-old bump of a four-year-old thread to wonder out loud if stand tall is the best EP, let alone debut EP, that i have ever heard

I had very hard time getting into this album (and actually Sumac in general). Seemed too weird and even a bit too boring for my tastes. But after a small break I listened the album with headphones and something just clicked... Now it has been on repeat for days, so powerful music. Point of this small message is that don't give up on this album if you don't like it at first.

As @swisherprice suggested, we should start a specific thread for anime soundtracks. Here is my list of anime vinyl shops and releases: Tiger lab vinyl - produces only anime LPs. As much as I love those records I doubt that we will go after them but who knows. We’ve literally been working on this one since may of 2019. It’s been a slow and arduous process with the pandemic.

They are new plates we made with the universal masters. They weren’t remastered specifically for vinyl or anything like that (that’s a whole different league with dealing with majors) but the tests sound great!

Thanks for the love everyone! Rico and I (Field Day) are super excited about this one. I will say that my anxiety is at an all-time high given this is one of my favorite records and I just want to do right by it but luckily Ryan has been super cool, hands-on, and supportive of the release and we can’t wait to share it! ❤️

Tbh, your entitlement is kinda bogus. These things take time and effort, and you’re just assuming that they can handle requests of that magnitude even during a pandemic when most businesses are functioning at lower capacity. If this company were to take specific requests from every individual that orders from them, the amount of problems that could arise are astronomical. Try to consider things like this when kicking and screaming certain services be rendered in order to prevent something that MIGHT happen.

I second this, plus I think Deep In A Hole is the best thing they’ve done. New Sidewalk is least favorite but still very enjoyable. This is coming from someone who still thinks Stand Tall should be in the Smithsonian. Killer deal for this repress. Sounds better than the OG to me. Somebody better jump on it.

Not every town has a cool record store. Maybe this release is for the kid who picks it up in nowheresville USA and it changes his life. I also think its pointless to adhere DIY punk mentality to a band of Metallica’s level. You want to talk corporations, they ARE a corporation

giving a corporation like Walmart fucking vinyl exclusives do this shit with a local record store - this shit sucks - same goes with Urban Outfitters and Target too.

I found them to be very inspiring in their banter on stage when I saw them both in store and that evening at a local venue. They all just had great attitudes, and I'm glad they still have Max playing guitar, I had some great conversations, his eyes lit up when I told him the venue had a leslie amp they could plug into. That evening I saw 4 people carrying that monster out onto the stage and they sounded fantastic. If you want to see their in store, I guess it's been 2 years my how time flies
