This isn't the 70s, and Norma Jean isn't exactly Aerosmith - groupies, hotels and "be[ing] a rock star" are products of huge label advances, and thus are relics of the dying music industry of decades ago. Touring is now literally something bands have to do to get by. Most people in bands have other jobs. Assuming the year in your username is your birth year, your ignorance isn't super surprising, but maybe limit yourself to topics within your wheelhouse for now. See the other Tooth & Nail threads, nothing Tooth & Nail/Solid State will ever be pressed or repressed again.

Yeah man, the retargeting is pretty crazy, seems like they are running a fairly sizable campaign. I don't have any problem with the business model, I'd be up for something like this is it could match my tastes and seemed credible. But HOOOOOOOOLY SHIIIIIIIT does everything about that company seem off. Shitty stock photos, really bad copy, creepy customer acquisition techniques, hyperbolic band descriptions and touting everything as colored low-run vinyl. I have to think bands would be downright embarrassed to be associated with them, and that can't help them either. This is what skateboarders must feel like when Slim Jim® puts ads in their magazines.

I have the maroon variant. It's a so so release. It looks pretty good as far as color choice, gatefold, etc... I think it sound okay in some spots - bad in others - overall not anywhere near as good as it should sound IMO. I think people always have the right to complain about sound quality and packaging quality. I'd hope at least 50% of the people that buy this actually want to listen to it and have a high quality audio sound. I know there are people buying this for various reasons, but those just buying it for a cheap Fall Out Boy record need to understand sound quality matters to a lot of people. Some people actually want to listen to it and not buy a 22.99 + shipping 12" poster for their wall or something just to stuff on a bookshelf for some scene points. I 100% agree.

I finally came across a copy of Sagarmatha at Flat Black and Circular in East Lansing, MI last weekend (along with some DJ Q-Bert, Girl in a Coma, Tortoise, Charles Mingus & Hank Mobley) Has anyone gotten the second pressing of Illumination Ritual yet? It's supposed to be Swamp Green and Aqua Blue.

I think he was just referring to the buying part, not the listening part. I don't think there's any person out there that can honestly say they don't listen to any digital music. I know that if I pay for an album once (especially if it's on vinyl) I will not pay for it again for a digital copy. Just doesn't make sense to me. Personally, I feel the same way about movies as well.
