Every $200 raised? How much were you expecting to spend on a new turntable? Instead of giving away records why wouldn't you just sell some off and use that toward a new setup? sucks that your stuff got stolen, but yeah, things could be worse. At least your family is safe.

Initially I was going to just let this pass without commenting, however, I can't leave this go without commenting. First I feel bad that you lost some of your stuff. It sucks for you. For perspective though you had someone come in and take a few extreme luxury items. You and your lady friend are fine. As a whole your home is still in livable condition. You lost items that yes you worked hard to get, but they are purely luxury items. You still have food. You still have shelter. (although you may want to invest more in security) From the sounds of it you still have a way to earn money. Perhaps it's time to go hit up a few thrift stores and track down a TV and turntable that can tide you over till you can save up money and get fancy new ones. By coming on here and asking for money it's just big fucking joke. You lost luxury items, not day to day essentials. No one on here is going to buy you a new turntable. Not because we aren't good, kind and generous people but because we aren't going to fund someone else's luxury purchases. With that said I'll head over to Redcross.com and will donate $20 because that is a charitable cause worth supporting.

I'm 23 and the first thing I did when I got an apartment was get renters insurance. It cost me all of $12 for the year and I have $100,000 in coverage. Not having insurance is incredibly stupid on your part, I'm surprised your apartment didn't require it from you as everyone I've lived in required proof of insurance before they rented to me.

If shit hit the fan for me, the last thing I would ever think about would be asking strangers on the internet for money. I'd count my losses, save up my money like a big boy and replace my things.

I'm not sure where the user "Who Cares?" is when we need him most, but let me give it a try WHO CARES? Who cares what you do with your records? Who cares what colors, variants, bands, unicorn horns, Sasquatch pubes, you like to buy? Who cares? You buy what you buy, it presumably makes you happy, life goes on. I do not care. I'm happy you're happy with your records, whatever it is you do with them.

This really surprises me considering your affinity for black vinyl. General rule of thumb: if McPherson's collecting variants for a band, you should know they're worth your time.

It seems like up through Geneva a lot of people were expecting Enter part II. I'm glad most seem to have given up that expectation by now. I remember Stations taking a little longer to settle with me initially, but I've learned to trust RC's judgement since. I guess I was lucky when Enter came out to have already been entrenched in post-rock/metal and math rock, so it was an easy fit.

I can understand people feeling this way. I was in the same boat at first but after several listens I came to the same realization that it seems Drew Beringer did in his review of Some Nights.

So I just found out that my submission was chosen by the committee and that this poster will be used for PVGP 2014. T-Shirts, posters, brochures, billboards, etc. It's sort of the face for marketing the race. This is the biggest thing that I've been a part of involving design and I'm really excited about it!

You seem to get robbed a lot. Instead of buying a new audio setup, you should be looking to fund a security system, gun, or dog set up.

Both of my parents work in the pharmaceutical industry so I've been told this stuff my whole life. I think I've only ever gotten one flu shot. I don't see the point in paying someone for their best guess, when even if you get the flu it's really not that bad.

There are several that say 1-2 weeks but cancel after 4 weeks. So you'll get it exactly 4 weeks after the order date.
