Today was the town Halloween Parade - my boy begged me to be Darth Vader to his Stormtrooper. Since the parade is sponsored by the Fire Dept I figured FireFighter Vader was appropriate. The two of us rode the truck tossing candy to kids all the way down Broad Street. A damn awesome day for us and I hope a few kids along the way were thrilled to have Darth Vader on a Fire Truck give them some candy. (I did yell at the Han Solo/Princess Leia Family that the children of Rebel Scum get nothing just before I tossed a handful to them)

I think this little tidbit of info warrants a bump of sorts. I asked the band in the VIP q&a session today in Santa Cruz about this sounding terrible. They said it's the fault of Hopeless and that they know it's too long for a single lp. Hopeless approached them about doing a third pressing, and they said absolutely not, unless they do it as a 2xlp. So, if it's ever repressed, it should be as a double lp according to the band.

I just went hard in the arts and crafts for these mixed CDs and now everything hurts.

I've got them on black and they sound good. A little better than the CD's but not by much (I doubt they used new masters). They're not a revelation but very nice to listen to and pressing quality is good.

I whole heartedly agree he was a complete asshole for his actions amongst another human with his demeaning attitude. I feel everyone deserves a second chance. He's obviously got mental issues but who doesn't? His got the best of him and it was right of the Dolphins to "release" him. I didn't check Popsike, I looked at NSR's Completed Listings on eBay. I don't know when the Popsike listing was from, but I also can't find any other completed listings for it on eBay.

Couldn't disagree more, personally. TBK and Seer are way more accessible and interesting than their older stuff. If I had listened to Filth first, I doubt I'd be a Swans fan today.

It's only a crappy thing to do if she pitched the idea to them, then they said, "Nah, we're cool," then ended up doing the same type of thing anyway. If you're explaining everything correctly, it sounds like they had the idea, went to an artist who has created something similar to see if she would be interested, then probably had an internal discussion that essentially amounted to "We can do this in-house and save money." This shit happens all the time and it's not illegal or immoral. This is the life of a freelancer. You're constantly chasing down work that may or may not be there. Your friend didn't get fucked, and regardless of whether or not TWLOHA is sketchy (I happen to think they are too, but that's neither here nor there), there is absolutely nothing here to blame them for.

hate to break it to you, Rob Dobi has been doing silhouettes with words over them for our little scene for about 15 years now.. and was working with Thursday, coheed, fall out boy, and other huge bands doing it... its a pretty common methodology
