So I'm sure some of you know that I work at Oldies.com, well customer service isn't exactly what I want to do with my life (I'm a psych grad student after all). Anyways I just got a new job working with adults with intelectual disablities. I'm really excited about it and cannot wait to start!

i hate people who do shit like this, because i've been on the receiving end of thrown bottles, food wrappers, water splashes, and sudden yells (to make you flinch) while I stand waiting for the bus. karma got back at a few guys for me once. i was standing waiting for the bus, and some dude yelled at me, as to scare me. i just looked with a "wtf" glare and as they laughed, the driver didnt see they had a red and ran into the truck in front of them. i couldn't stop laughing because while their car was totaled, the dudes truck (which had a full metal bumper) had a few scratches. i just got on my bus and left.

Well now I know where the money for the photo booth, the wax mold making machine and all the other amusement rides is coming from that they are going to be adding to the third man store. I'm so glad I'm not a mark for them and their gimmicky 300 dollar upper deckers and their zeus lighting hammer bolts. The anxiety of trying to get all that shit would lead me to die an early death. That being said, this thread has become one of the most interesting on the board. It is like watching a science experiment.

I got my replacement today, when I opened it the C/D side was in the A/B sleeve and I almost shit myself thinking that they sent me another C/D C/D thankfully the A/B was in the second part of the sleeve. So happy to own this!

Not into this band at all, but I think it's really really awesome what you're doing. Seriously, it's such an incredibly selfless act.

I thnk you need to go read the thread about 1000 posts somewhere a few weeks ago for an explanation to this.

I hope they don't just offer the boxset. Personally I would love to get just Watch Out and Crisis. Don't really feel like shelling out $200+ to get 2 records. But then again maybe this boxset will flesh out the copies of those two for cheaper prices.

So stoked to see so many of you grab that Chamberlain/Split Lip LP. Hit me with a PM after you've listened to it. I swear this LP and "For the Love of the Wounded" are among the most under rated 90's indie LPs out there. Uniontown and the song Chamberlain hit back to back to end side 1 and start side 2 and it is a hell of a flip.

Good to know apirk. I actually got a Sea of Cowards split, first thing I've been able to snag so far. Which is sort of karmic in a sense, that was the reason I got up at 3:30am and drove to the RRS in MA only to learn they sold them all the night prior. So, if I don't get anything else, I'm still pretty happy.

Of course it doesn't mean analog automatically sounds better than digital...When there's a manufacturing error it can sound worse. Same with digital. But it has the capacity to sound better. And I don't have 4000k cds. I have 4000 lps. And yes, my setup is cool. And Billy didn't master the LPs, so he isn't the one who would be calling me. But maybe someone should. And I don't know if my dick is bigger than yours, but my hearing is obviously better.

You sound like the inexperienced kid to me. I'm 35, have been collecting vinyl for 20 years, have a $2000 turntable and a $1500 all tube amp. I have 4000 vinyl LPs. Vinyl is not supposed to sound "distorted/fuzzed out". It's supposed to be superior sonically in every way to digital, save for surface noise on the LP. We are not discussing surface noise. We are discussing mastering/pressing defects. If you don't understand it, there's no need to contribute.

I was wrong. This vinyl sounds awful. Zero may be the worst sounding song, but these have distortion as well: Here is No Why, Bullet With Butterfly Wings, Bodies, Love. Porcelina has multiple "skips". I've played two copies and these issues are present in the same exact spots on both copies. I've read some reports that the EU version doesn't suffer from the same problems. Seriously, save your money. What a disappointment.
