So im thinking of making a record themed "Picture A Day" Instagram project. For those that don't know what that is, basically there will be a list that has a theme for every day and of the month and you hashtag it #januaryrecordaday or something like that. Puente Hills Mall had two copies. Montauk picked up one for me and one for him. We had Starbucks this evening and did an Amoeba run. It was rad. Vinyl looks very nice and though the liner notes in the gatefold are tough to read, I'm glad they are there. Critical part of this album, in my opinion.

Hey there! What I'm looking for is the "collectors edition" set of this season. By that I mean the cardboard case or whatever that folds out. NOT the snap-case version. For some reason I can't find the fold-out version anywhere. Amazon doesn't seem to have any and I ordered what I thought was the right one from GoHastings and they ended up sending me the snap-case one. This is the exact cover of the version I'm looking for: So, I guess what I'm asking is if anyone can check some local stores to see if they have this. I would really prefer not to spend over $15.00ppd for this, so if that works for you that'd be great. OR, like I said, I currently have the snap-case version, so if you have the version I want already and you don't care what version it is, maybe we can just work out a trade? I'd really appreciate any help!

this is one of those records where everything from the music to the interview to the layout and design was so intentionally thought out and well-done. the pinup style of the record layout and the printed sleeves and picture labels are perfect. one lp of music, one of a ridiculous interview. this is a perfect example of how to appreciate every facet of a record.

How is it a slap in the face to state the business proposition of "prepay for this item, and at somepoint in the future you will receive it". You realize thats pretty much how venture capitalism works right? people give money to companies to allow them to put together projects in hopes they are successful and then everyone involved wins. Kickstarter/pre-orders are just that on a very micro level.

I feel like the 'artistic-integrity' dedication make this stuff marginally acceptable in this market and it's becoming a bit redundant. I understand shit happens, but let's be realistic here. It shouldn't take a band/label more than 30 seconds to type up an email informing their fans of a delay. I'm not going to defend crying over delays, but a little transparency could go a long way. It's one of the main reasons why I only PO'd a handful of albums this year.

Just got mine today. A few things: The outer sleeve is significantly roomier than my original press (if in fact this is a different press) The transparent inner sleeve layer with the tonearm printed on it is a significantly different type of plastic than my original. More like overhead projector transparency sheets. This alternate plastic seems like it would not harm the disc surface with outgassing. I still opted to place the LP in a paper sleeve just to be safe. I have left it inside the accompanying outer jacket but will probably pick up a generic soon. Anyone else notice these differences?
