  2. Remove the side A labels with an Exacto knife and tape them to side B. Probably not registering right on your turntable's center label scanner.

  3. I don't have many nicknames. Really just Fraulein or Lars, which stems from my friends' love of heavy weights and therefore awesome. I suppose Lara is as short as it gets. Edit:

  9. No, I am pretty sure they have you covered. From their Facebook: Spacelab9 We have taken the remaining green vinyl copies down until we can get the server situation fixed. If you unsuccessfully attempted to place an order for one today, all is not lost! We appreciate your patience and apologize for our woefully inadequate server. In the process of upgrading right now, will be back with an update! And in previous post he said they are only a two man operation. Quit your crying already.

  14. That is such a great note. During the financial crisis in 2008 the largest office on my floor was occupied by a now defunct Financial Analysis firm. It was 90% dudes who wore suspenders and blue shirts that had white collars. During the meltdown I guess the writing was on the wall that they were finished so they'd be in the halls drinking whiskey, doing cocaine in the bathroom and more or less partying - it was awful. The worst came that they would trash the Men's room on our floor every day. What started as people pissing in corners turned to ripping doors off hinges until it became shit on the floor and the ultimate when for a couple days someone wrote on the wall in shit. They puked all the time and had to intentionally not use a toilet. It was so damn awful. When they finally closed up shop everyone else on the floor more or less threw a party.

My biggest peeve is when you're on a 2 lane road with nobody around in the other lane. The person ahead turns out in front of you rather than the open lane and slows you down

  18. logically, a turntable that plays the A side but the platter stops when trying to play B side would dictate : A) the record weighs a hundred fucking pounds (on one side only, clearly) B ) you don't know how to properly use your turntable (did you lift the tone arm to double check?) C) a force field surrounding your property has prevented things from happening like they should. or D) The motor in your turntable is shitting itself and needs to be replaced. Also, (real question.) I don't know if it was stated previously, but what turntable are you using?
    2 points
  19. Yes. What you are describing makes no fucking sense
    2 points
  20. Yeah, it might be that. Really appreciate your potentially helpful reply. Every time I put the needle on the record it just kind of, sat there, making a muffled distorted sound. I'll try it when I've slept. If it still doesn't play I'll just try switching the labels so the turntable's scanner is fooled. The latter is sarcasm.

  21. Yea man, he needs a fourth copy way more than someone else needs a first! Help this dude out!!!!

  22. Good replies, googled and definitely not warped. Think my turntable is just fucked. It's wobbly and a piece of shit. Will keep stupid questions to myself.

  24. there will definitely be a number of people who are willing to buy disney soundtracks on picture discs that will someday stop buying vinyl because they realized they wasted a ton of money on them and it's not making them happy anymore. but for those of us that don't have to have every expensive variant and mostly buy them to listen to them because they sound great on a proper set up, i think we'll continue to buy them.

  25. Even the bigger, more established labels underestimate the amount of traffic some limited vinyl drops get. Blowing up a thread with all caps and threats of never doing business with a company anymore does nothing but make you look like a complete bitch. I remember MY first time striking out... Spacelab: you've already done a hell of a lot more than I've seen other companies do in this situation. For what it's worth, you're okay in my book. Looking forward to (hopefully smoother) releases from you guys.

  26. It was a long, long night but here is an update as things stand right now. I will try to keep this as organized as possible in hopes that it answers everyone's questions as best as possible. All of you whom had orders that were successful in coming through should have received confirmation emails by now so please check your emails as well a junk folders. To prevent further chaos from ensuing we matched every Paypal transaction id against every order that came through to make sure everything was accounted for. However, there were several orders generated in that they came through and customers received a order number but not a confirmation email and the reason for this is that checkout was NOT completed. So for those of you saying that you have an order number but haven't received confirmation you are in the aforementioned category and what will be done is that we will be emailing you a Paypal invoice to finish the checkout as soon as possible and you will get what you ordered. In the event that you do have Paypal payment confirmation but have not received an order number or confirmation please feel free to send a PM to sort that out for you. All that I asked is you that provide your full name, and the Paypal transaction ID. As far as those who couldn't place an order, trust me we understand your frustration. In regards to the limited zombie green version we do still have copies remaining however, that will not be made available again until all of the current customer issues are resolved we are almost there so please be on the lookout for an announcement regarding that if it still interests you. To reiterate our primary goal right now is to address all issues concerning current or pending orders. Once we apologize for the confusion, frustration, etc. but we are doing everything we can to rectify the situation as fast as possible. To answer some more questions directly to some community members: Harley- Like I said there weren't too many orders that "reeked" of flipping. Quite frankly while there were a lot of orders there weren't a whole lot consisting of multiple copies and if it was it was for a colored copy and a black copy. Dude... Beanie Babies!! You are giving me nightmares, I worked at a McDonald's in the 90s when they did the Beanie Baby happy meals. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone. jezmundtoo- We certainly are not going to make light of the time you invested out of your day to try and obtain one of our releases, but outside of offering a sincere apology and doing so publicly realistically what else is there can we do? The time you lost and the whole mishap was unfortunate, no doubt. Would we rather that your order went through flawlessly and that you'd be days away from holding a sweet record in your hands? Would have my partner and I rather have the pre-sale go off without a hitch and spend last night with our families and not glued to our computers til 2:30 in the morning? Absolutely on all fronts! We have been out publicly trying to make good on this situation and taking responsibility as opposed to hiding behind closed doors. Outside of doing that and expressing sincere apologies, and taking the remaining limited editions off the site until the pending issues are rectified I am at a loss as to what you expect of us.

  38. Yeah, i'm not sure why they didn't try to launch it before Elimination Chamber or tried to run a special Saturday Night's Main Event or other one-off PPV-type show. Pretty gutsy to have the first live PPV be 'Mania, but Vince McMahon has grapefruits, as we've been reminded many times over the years.

  42. Everyone, firstly we want to offer a sincere thank you everyone for their patronage, support and most of all their patience in this matter for which we also extend the sincerest of apologies. Regardless of the various tests we ran on the site through before going "live" the bottom line is we sorely underestimated the reliability of our server and certainly for that we assume full responsibility. Where do we go from here? As we have been doing so all day and will continue to do so into the late ours of the night we will be doing what can be done to stabilize the site but more importantly communicating with and ensuring that those who successfully placed orders are given confirmation that their orders did indeed come through so they rest easily. Furthermore, if there are refunds that need to be issued they will be attended to as well. So, in short EVERYONE will be contacted and have their issue rectified. Additionally, any messages to the Facebook page will be answered. Please understand that Spacelab9 is just two guys and we sincerely appreciate the fact that everyone invests their hard earned dollars into a record we are releasing. Heck, we are lifelong collectors ourselves so to reiterate we will be up all night rectifying every issue and addressing every customer personally. Moving forward we are upgrading to a significantly more resilient server. And until all the current issues are resolved the remaining green vinyl copies have been taken down off the site. Once resolved they shall go back up. Outside of improving the site, personally interacting with customers to confirm order receipt, refunding where applicable and informing fans via social media, message boards, etc. all we can offer is our sincerest apologies. I think everyone can be in agree that how the pre-sale unfolded to was neither ideal in the eyes of customers or us and we vow to make things right for everyone moving forward. When all is said and done, frustration aside when you hold this record in your hands and have it spinning on your turntable we are certain that frustration will turn to satisfaction.
