As expected, the songs just destroyed me. I fuckin' cried as I related to both songs and how McTiernan delivers the lyrics just slayed me. Oof. Since their first release it's been just feels and emotions to a heavy sound. And that's what made me fall in love with hardcore to begin with way back in the day.

My copy showed up from Bullmoose today - just gave it a spin and goddamn these guys don’t miss. I was very concerned about the guest appearances, but neither is off putting. Fantastic record!

So my friend that worked for Capitol now works over at Interscope (Capitol had huge layoffs). So I’m trying to get some more insight into the “club”. My favorite Ohio anecdote of all time is this: I was driving cross country with my at the time girlfriend, east to west coast. We drove straight through the middle of the country because why the fuck not, right? We're going through West Virginia (gross) and we get to the Ohio border and stop at literally the first place we see to use the bathroom. I walk in the door to this gas station bathroom and the first thing I see, not written huge or angrily - just kind of small and matter of fact, "West Virginia fucking sucks." I've chuckles to myself every time I've thought about that for the last 12 years. "Ohio: at least it's better than WV," will forever be their motto to me.

Honestly Act III is my least favorite (which is not a very popular opinion), but I thought the live versions were way better than the studio cuts. Just the new version of Go Get Your Gun by itself makes me like the whole thing more. They’ll have to keep it going to finish out the story. Hopefully they get the Awesome Orchestra back for IV and V and then release a box set of everything.

Good old FedEx. 3 different times from different shops I had something ship from a city that was 40 minutes away and it would travel to Northern California to Nevada, to 2-3 different east coast states, back to Nevada and then finally to Southern California. 2 weeks to go from Los Angeles to Orange County. When I called they said if their distribution center is full then it gets transferred to the next closest. Seems like a very inefficient system and makes sense to why costs are so high.

As much as I love Thursday, the band they became post-reunion is just unbeliveable. They are doing album shows for 10+ years now, and recently they became a merchline band just like glassjaw and now they are selling 7 inches for 20 bucks. gtfo.

They did a zine with each release. Sometimes the zine even held up shipping and caused delays they were constantly doing BOGO sales and I always wondered how that was viable. they sent out an email recently saying they were shifting distribution but outstanding orders WOULD be fulfilled. Should have seen this coming though when they pulled all inventory off the site. I will say, the releases I got from them were very nice though. Big rips.

Same. They seemed to have insane web coupons active at all times, so I’m only getting stung for like $18 and change after shipping. Still super annoying though, and I feel for anyone who has funds tied up. What a shit-show.
