  3. Ok, so heres my receipt from when i originally sent you the funds. July 3, 2013. Yeah, almost a year and a half ago. Paypal keeps it all on file. http://i.imgur.com/KZOhJAF.png Next up is my paypal Account activity of all incoming payments. The date range starting is set at the date I sent you the payment all the way up to today. http://i.imgur.com/hO31gg3.png Notice that your name, or even any dollar amount close to what you supposedly reimbursed me are nowhere to be found on that list? I'm not doubting that you made good to most of the members you burned in the past, but i wasnt one of them. I had given up and cut my losses, until i saw you back on here selling the record that you had already "sold" to me. I still have record of the PM's as well, After 3 weeks of you "shipping it out" it never showed up. I questioned you about it, and you deleted the conversation. You never made any attempt to refund more or send the records out.

  4. Whenever you read males on the internet talking about how they like Taylor Swift it almost always sounds like they're being ironic. I'm not saying that they are being ironic, but it comes across that way. Like there's rarely much discussion about the actual tunes and there's always a bunch of that "Man, I am really enjoying this new Taylor Swift album. LOL, normally I listen to hardcore, but I also really like Taylor Swift! Isn't that weird?" kinda stuff, and it just comes of as really disingenuous and sleazy. That coupled with the weirdness of people (especially in this thread) posting pics of her and commenting on her looks. You don't see that in no Deftones thread, and it is creepy as fuck.

  5. ISIS (the band) vinyl repress madness continues with Panopticon now getting the royal treatment, remastered audio, revamped printwork and all! This is the first full-length we ever worked with the band on, almost 10-years ago to the date (!), and it feels great to have it in print and available all these years later. This time around the ante has been upped with Mika Jussila of Finnvox Studios’ brilliant audio remastering, who was also responsible for the recent Oceanic remastering as well (previously erroneously credited by us to James Plotkin, who also does great work). Aaron Turner’s iconic layout has also received a tune-up, with uncoated printed-innersleeves housed within a super high-gloss, tip-on heavyweight gatefold jacket. 2000 copies of this beautiful latest pressing were made: 200 on clear/translucent blue, 500 on clear/translucent orange and 1300 on black vinyl. Panopticon is in-house now and available to order from the Robotic Empire – Online Store. https://www.roboticempire.com/store/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&zenid=7a1b7268237fd8d4ec75e695a5b2db3d&keyword=isis

  6. UPDATE: Derek has contaced me and is refunding me my money. I'm not getting the record as it has been sold to someone else, which sucks, but I'm happy to at least be getting my money back.

  19. Now imagine everyone that orders from them sending them four emails.... If you're doing a high volume of stuff as a DIY operation, there comes a point where answering people's email questions about their orders hinders actually getting them their orders, y'know?

  21. I'm sure female Deftones fans think someone in that band is attractive/post pics of them online. Most of us in this thread aren't gay though, so we don't think they're cute. I'm not sure how someone thinking a 24(?) year old is good looking comes off as creepy. By your logic, tons of women in the late 90's early 2000's were creepy for thinking Johnny Depp was cute. Hell, even I thought the dude was good looking back then. It's not as if people are coming in here posting about wanting to do graphic sexual acts to her.

  22. There's a lot of haters based on this kid's music taste. That sucks. When I was 13, I took a Korn LP to get signed at a meet and greet. LP got pretty wrecked just from carrying it around, got water spilled on me, etc. Still got it though.

  24. Hi, so I was directed here by someone who ordered a zelda vinyl (I am the guy who makes them) and I guess I should explain myself a bit as there seems to be some mystery about what Im doing (which is pretty funny I think). Anyway, so technically I am an artist by trade (you can see stuff I make on my instagram if you're bored http://instagram.com/unfortunateface/ I have collected records for the last 15 years (I have another instagram just for records too http://instagram.com/thevinylsolution/ and last summer I had a bunch of extra money so I decided to do something Ive wanted to do for a long time, which was press my own record. I personally feel super strongly about video game music being treated as a legitimate artform that deserves respect that, for the most part, it doesnt recieve on a large scale even though it is probably one of the most influential modern genres of music there is (ex: if you have listened to hip hop at any point in the past two decades, it is literally IMPOSSIBLE for you not to have heard a sample taken from a video game http://www.spin.com/gallery/50-rap-songs-based-on-video-game-samples/). I collect pretty much any video game related vinyl I can find but the problem is there are both crazy rare and generally expensive and also very limited in scope of titles available. I contacted 6 different game companies trying to buy a license to make soundtracks of their games and was denied by all of them on the basis which essentially the same answer each time, which was that it was "not a market they see much demand for". So then I basically said "fuck it", and I did it anyway, and pressed what I think is one of the seminal game soundtracks of all time "Mega Man 2". Since it was a bootleg, I did the cover as a meta tribute to 70s record bootlegs. I hand silk screened all the covers myself based on my own design, as I wanted them to be sort of functional art pieces as well. I also knew from the start of this I wanted to make these releases celebrate the actual composers that made the music as well, so the composers name is right next to the title on the front cover. They sold out almost immediately. The reaction was so intense that I started a new pressing of The Legend of Zelda 1 & 2 OST (with tracks from zelda 3 and OOT as well) and this time paid extra to make everything look legit (full color front and back cover and labels, on gold vinyl) as I want all future releases to be proof of concept examples to show all these backwards game companies that dont think there is a market for vinyl, that not only is there a giant one, but I want to do the design of everything with more care than most giant corporations would even care to, as I am both a huge record collector and a huge video game fan, and I make these as some I personally would want in my own collection, not just a cash grab for people's money. This has become a labor of love for me and one of the most personally fulfilling things Ive done and I really hope I can continue doing it and that at some point one of these stupid companies will let me buy legit licensing so more people can enjoy them. So here are all the releases Ive done so far and the ones I am making: 001 - MEGA MAN 2 (sold out) 002 - THE LEGEND OF ZELDA (just released) 003 - CASTLEVANIA (in production, contains full OSTs of CV 1 & 2, plus selected tracks from CV 3 & 4) 004 - NES GREATEST HITS VOL 1 (in production, contains 25 tracks of some of what I think are the best NES music tracks of all time) 005 - POKEMON RED & BLUE OST (being designed and mastered now, will go into production in Jan.) 006 - EARTHBOUND (has been mastered, being designed, will be the first 2lp release on 180gram vinyl, production in Mar) 007 - MEGA MAN 3 (had been mastered, will be designed and in production in Mar, in talks to secure legit licensing for this hopefully) future presses I want to make are: Metroid & Super Metroid OSTs Final Fantasy IV & VI OSTs Ninja Gaiden NES trilogy OST Chrono Trigger OST Silent Hill OST Shadow of the Colossus OST Sonic 3 OST (with michael jackson inspired cover as he actually wrote the music for the game) Sega Genesis Greatest Hits etc I master everything directly from NSF, SPC and similar uncompressed original audio files and I hand make every aspect of the design myself from scratch (no boring stock images are ever used or ever will be used). I kind of want to go for a criterion collection vibe, quality wise. Anyway, so thats everything I think. Hope this clears up some mystery a bit and Ill probably be starting a email list to notify of future releases soon, so any of this sounds interesting to you, just let me know and I can put you on it. You will only be emailed when a record is announced or ready for sale. Also if someone wanted to do their own game soundtrack record, I would help design art for it for free, and help with the mastering as well. I would love to inspire other people to do this and there are so many games I would love to see soundtracks for as well

  27. Cannot go wrong with Trailer Park Boys. The only problem with that is I always have to scheme to watch it while my wife isn't in the house. On topic, this is pretty messed up, and seems to be cut and dry. There must be something with people named Derek/Derrick on these boards.

  34. They're not meant to. He has said that he wanted to implement a writing process he's not used to. By forcing himself to write, record, mix, and master two songs every month, they are independent of each other. Though I listen to VOL 1 together all the time and I think it works as an album. I think it's very refreshing and new ground.

  38. Here ya go. There's a noticeable difference in color between the first and second releases. The last two are almost identical. You can see the purple streak in the SN/RH. You can kinda see the green/yellow one too. It's on the bottom near the label. Overall, it's pretty great. I'm happy I bought it. Going to start listening to them now.

  42. It'd be ideal if Doghouse repressed or put on vinyl something new or even from their way back catalog. They just keep repressing and reissuing the same nonsense. I'm OK w/ more Get Up Kids and even Say Anything...but c'mon, quit getting so gimmicky and obviously cash-grabby and just put out something new. I'd love to see the Endpoint stuff get reissued but that will never happen since they're too niche in the HxC scene and only the jaded and old dudes like myself would care. Hell...why not put on vinyl the first Meg & Dia album?!?! That's pure indie pop delight that would get some fans nowadays. And going back to this Say Anything reissue...so much for test presses being "unique" and special...not when you have 100 of them in that first package. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
